Final Smash Super Dragon/Yoshi Stampede

Yoshi makes his fifth return to the Super Smash Bros. franchise in Super 5mash Bros. 5. Yoshi is an airborne warrior with buffed up aerials. His up, forward, and back aerials have been buffed with more damage and knockback than before. He also has better follow ups from ground to air combos. He remains his aesthetic appearance from Super Smash Bros. 4 that keeps him upright and more vertical. His speed has also increased and allows him to run low to the ground compared to previous.

Trophies

Yoshi's trophies can be earned by completing Classic Mode, Adventure Mode, All-Star Mode, and Boss Battle mode. In addition, further trophies can be found during matches and at the Trophy Shop.

Yoshi

Unlock: Classic Mode

"Yoshi is the fast-runnin', egg-throwin', high-flyin' dinosaur that the world fell in love with when Super Mario World came out for the Super Nintendo System. Since then, he has become a household name and has several games where he becomes the hero. In these games, he often has to protect Baby Mario and Baby Luigi from the diabolical clutches of Kamek and Baby Bowser. However, thanks to his many abilities, he was able to protect the baby siblings and join the rest of his Yoshi family."

Yoshi (Alt)

Unlock: Adventure Mode Console/Pink

"Egg Roll is one of Yoshi's most locomotive moves - allowing him to travel far distances without much trouble. All he does is envelope himself within a hard-shelled egg and push forward at high speeds. Anyone caught in his way are completely egged! Due to these speeds he moves, he can be a bit hard to control but that is nothing that a good Yoshi player can't handle! So just turn into an egg and smash into those misfits!"

Yoshi (Alt)

Unlock: Adventure Mode Handheld/Red

"Yoshi's Fire Belch was an attack found in Super Mario World. When Yoshi ate a Koopa Shell, he could keep it in his mouth and fire out flame attacks in the form of a fireball/ In Super Smash Bros.. Yoshi can ire up to five of these fireballs which travel while moving at different angles. Yoshi has this power in his "Super Dragon" form but those fireballs have been buffed up incredibly so they can't really be compared."

White Yoshi

Unlock: Boss Battle Console

"Who is the White Yoshi exactly? A white crusader against the poor and helpless? A Yoshi from the northern snowy mountains? Or simply an albino Yoshi? No one will know as Yoshi's can really speak in English except for "Yoshi"! However, White Yoshi seems to be very rare due to their lack of appearances outside of the Yoshi Story game but that doesn't mean they aren't beautiful! How they get that milky complexion is beyond me but it certainly looks brilliant!"

Dark Green Yoshi

Unlock: Boss Battle Handheld/

"This Yoshi could of been born in the deep, dark, tropical wilds of the Amazon....or the equivalent in the Yoshi universe. This Yoshi certainly boasts some striking green colors that alternate between emerald green, dark forest green, and his typical lime green. It is hinted that this coloration gives Yoshi excellent camouflage in the deep jungles though seems rather useless in "Phendrana Drifts" or "Lanaryu Mining Facility". Perhaps Yoshi's can change the color of their skin like a chameleon. I mean, they can use their tongue like one. Food for thought."

'Yoshi (Puff Up)

Unlock: Match or Trophy Shop Blue

"Yoshi has a wide variety of abilities such as belching our fire and bubbles, ground pounding,, laying eggs, and transforming into a car but one of the most bizarre is his Puff Up ability. Yoshi can gulp in air and then slowly drift up to the sky using this air. But be careful as he can be popped by attacks resulting him being pummeled to the ground. As with all things, he can't float forever and will lose air which will cause him to spin to the ground. At least he can damage opportunists on his way back down!"

Yoshi (Egg Throw)

Unlock: Match or Trophy Shop Purple

"Yoshi can lay an egg and then throw it with great accuracy! Depending on how hard the input is pushed, the further the eggs are thrown and their impact does damage. In fact, these eggs appear to have magical properties as they produce a rainbow when thrown and fireworks upon impact! If I was Yoshi, I would just throw eggs all day long....though that might tire me out. Making all eggs all day must be a chore. The Egg Throw also boosts Yoshi up into the air a bit giving him a bit a small recovery! Though Yoshi has excellent jumping skills."

Yoshi (Black)

Unlock: Match or Trophy Shop

"The Black Yoshi is just as elusive as the White Yoshi! Was he born in some black abyss in the center of the earth? Does he only come out to hunt during night time? Or was he just born with black pigmentation? Who knows but this Yoshi is one styling dinosaur! Those jet black skills look very intimidating when its coming after you with black spotted eggs! However, this Yoshi is a really good guy deep down and really just wants to make friends so don't let it's intimidating color frighten you.""

Yoshi (Yellow)

Unlock: Match or Trophy Shop

"Yoshi come in many sort of colors but the ones that players were first introduced to were the following: green, red, blue, and yellow in Super Mario World. Each one had a unique ability they gained when eating a Koopa Shell. In Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, more Yoshi colors were shown off. However, Yellow Yoshi has remained and appeared in many Super Mario Bros. related games. Yellow Yoshi's ability, upon eating a Koopa Shell, was increased weight which could pulverize and destroy enemies! This is maybe where the Ground Pound came from!"

Yoshi (Down Taunt) Orange

Unlock: Match or Trophy Shop

"Yoshi is a playful dinosaur that enjoys playing with friends just as much as smashing baddies! Yoshi's can be seen playing together in some forested glen or sunny meadow; chasing each other or playing catch with eggs. However, when someone or something disrupts their peaceful play or threatens Baby Mario and Baby Luigi, the Yoshi's band together to protect what they find precious. Though once the evil in vanquished, they are back to playing and sleeping all day!"

'Yarn Yoshi

Unlock: Complete a Samus Character Challenge

"Comprised primarily of yarn, no one is sure how this Yoshi came into being. He appears in Yoshi's Woolly World which appears to be made entirely of yarn. Yoshi doesn't gain any new abilities but many of his attacks have been yarnified. Instead of throwing eggs, Yarn Yoshi throws balls of yarn. Why they have the same weight and power is beyond me but they still do the same amount of damage. No fear though, Yarn Yoshi can still slurp up enemies and lay them...as balls of yarn."

Super Dragon

Unlock: All Star Mode (Easy or Normal)

"Super Dragon doesn't actually appear in any Yoshi or Super Mario Bros. games though it draws inspiration from Super Mario World which combines the powers he acquires from eating a red and blue Koopa Shell. Yoshi grows angelic wings and can fire much more damaging fireballs that deal large amounts of damage. He certainly looks like a dragon...but isn't he a dinosaur....or a Yoshi? Shouldn't he be called Super Yoshi? Well, with those wings and breathing fire, calling him a dragon is forgivable."

Yoshi Stampede

Unlock: Unlock all Fox trophies

"Yoshi are typically social creatures and will live, eat, sleep, and play together all day. When they move to a new location, they often run as group which can literally shake the ground. When one Yoshi is trouble, they stampede to protect that Yoshi. When the Yoshi makes the call, the entire area swarms with Yoshi as that run forward; carrying any evildoers on their backs to certain KO. Just watch out when the ground is shaking or you will be swept up in a sea of green, yellow, red, blue, and many other colors!"
