Yoshi is the leader of the Yoshi Race, and is also a valiant hero. His heroics have been shown many times, as he has been tested in several games, Yoshi prevails.
He first apperance was Super Mario World, but he was supposed to be in The origanal Super Mario Bros. Sadly the green dinosuar, didn't get programmed in.

Yoshi appears as a playable character in Super Paper Bros. along with two other Yoshis, Oshi and Goshi.

Yoshi appears in Paper Bleck, too. As playable character. In Raven Road, you saw Yoshi. He'll join you after you give him a Egg Cake, an recipe of a Yoshi Egg and Flour.

Yoshi is the third character unlocked in PM:ROTC. He was hanging around in Toad Town when he was attacked, and the Koopa Bros took him through a portal. Once Mario and Luigi rescued him, he joined them.

Yoshi is the main character in Yoshi's Island 2. He has to go defeat Baby Bowser and rescue Baby Peach, with the help of Boshi, the Rexs and Birdos, Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Baby Wario, and Baby Toad.

Yoshi is playable in Super Mario Legends. He is an unlcokable character during Chapter 4.

Yoshi appears as a summon in KH: A New Beginning to aid Sora and Link against the Heartless. He can eat enemies and fire eggs, and Sora/Link can ride him as well. In the upsoming sequel KH: The Adventure Continues, you can play in a Yoshi's Island world for both Sora and Link, turning Sora into Baby Sora and Link into Baby Link, while Baby Luigi and May as a baby will also appear.

In Mario Guitar World, It has been Confirmed that Yoshi will be the 3rd boss in story mode on amatuer. If he is beaten you will unlock the character yoshi as well as other features.

Yoshi appears as the captain of the Yoshi eggs team on the wii multiplayer game Mario Rugby League. His team speacialises in speed and his special move is to turn the ball into an egg which he can throw to the end of the field.

Yoshi appears in every game in the Mario Singalong! Series. He first appears in Mario Singalong Superstar!, then in a full horse costume Mario Singalong Country!, subsequently as a member of the boys team in Mario Singalong Boys vs Girls!, reappering in Mario Singalong Disney! where he becomes friends with Pluto, a NPC and he appeared in Mario Singalong Rocks!, Mario Singalong Down Under! and Mario Singalong Legends!

Yoshi appears in all of the Super Mario Adventures Series games.

Yoshi appears as a default character on Mario's team. He has high speed and batting, but low pitching. Red and Blue Yoshis are also playable. They share most of the same stats, but Red Yoshi has better pitching, and Blue Yoshi is slower but more powerful.

Yoshi appears with the other colours of Yoshi in this game. Yoshi is a starter and a captain character.
