Xiphias is a character in Metroid Prime 4. He is one of the Alimbics, a race of aliens that first colonized the planet Alinds in the Tetra Galaxy, of which he was born. Xiphias was just coming of age while the Alimbic Cannon was being built. In truth, he had actually helped in its construction, a fact that was previously unknown about him. Once the Alimbic Cannon was activated, and half-destroyed the once lush, green planet, the Alimbics abandoned the cannon and their planet, settling on K2-L, much like most others. Xiphias has stayed on K2-L since that day.
