Winged Galoomba (also known as Paragaloomba, in collision with another Galoomba enemy, however) are winged versions of Galoombas, in a same way as Paragoombas. They first appeared in Super Mario World, where Galoombas were first known as Goombas, and this variant was known as Winged Goomba. Winged Galoombas would fly around until Mario would stomp them, which would result in losing their wings. They also appear in New Super Mario Sunshine as an enemy, under the name Winged Goombo, in collision to yet another Goomba species. The player has to flip them over by squirting water at them, before stomping on them defeat them. They reappear in New Super Mario Bros. V, acting similar to their Super Mario World counterparts, but jumping on them will cause them to be flipped over immediately, and stomping on them again will defeat them, similar regular Galoombas.
