Wendy O. Koopa (known as Kootie Pie Koopa in the DiC cartoons) is the second youngest of the seven Koopalings, a clan of seven siblings that act as generals of the Koopa Troop. In their initial debut, they were considered Bowser's children, though this has since been deconfirmed. She was named after Wendy O. Williams, lead singer of the punk band Plasmatics.

Wendy is the only girl out of the Koopalings, and is portrayed as a stereotypical average teenage girl. fond of things like fashion and jewelry, as well as desiring wealth and prestige. Wendy is also shown to be disinterested in what her siblings are doing. however, she is shown to be close with Larry, and often protects him when he's getting picked on.

In the Mario series, Wendy often serves as a boss alongside the rest of the Koopalings, often being found at the end of a world and battled by Mario. Her battles usually revolve around rings that bounce around the arena, though in some games she uses other weapons such as water or figure skating. In the Super Smash Bros. series, Wendy also appears as an alternate costume for Bowser Jr., alongside the rest of the Koopalings.

History[]

Super Mario Bros. 3[]

WendyMemory1

Wendy battling Mario in Super Mario Bros. 3.

Wendy and the rest of the Koopalings first appear in Super Mario Bros. 3, where they aid Bowser in his conquering of the various lands in the Mushroom Kingdom. Wendy is stationed in Sea Side, the third world in the game, and steals the wand of its king and transforms him into a Spike (in the NES version) or a Dino Rhino (in the Super Mario All-Stars and Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 versions). After Mario defeats her on her Airship, he uses the wand to transform the king back.

In her battle, Wendy uses her wand to create rings that bounce around the arena. These will damage Mario on contact, so they need to be dodged. After stomping on her, she will create another ring, making the battle progressively harder. After being stomped on three times, she will be defeated.

Super Mario World[]

WendyMemory2

Wendy battling Mario in Super Mario World.

Wendy returns in Super Mario World, where she and the rest of the Koopalings help Bowser take over Dinosaur Land. She is stationed in Chocolate Island, the sixth world of the game, and guards a Yoshi Egg in her castle. After being defeated, the egg is retrieved.

When battled, Wendy will pop in and out of Pipes, alongside two dummies that look similar to her. During the battle, Lava Bubbles will bounce around the arena, which must be dodged. Wendy must be jumped on when she pops out of a Pipe, as hitting the dummies will do nothing. After being jumped on three times, she will fall into the lava below, defeated.

Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga / Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions[]

Wendy appears in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga alongside the other Koopalings, encountered as a boss in Bowser's Castle. When Bowletta takes over the castle and brainwashes the Koopa Troop, Wendy acts as a guard and is the sixth Koopaling battled. In combat, she will conjure clones of herself to attack, as well as throw rings that expand and close around Mario and Luigi. She also has a Time Bob-omb with her, which will explode after a few turns. She must be defeated by then.

WendyMemory3

Wendy's description in Minion Quest: The Search for Bowser.

Wendy also appears in the remake Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, serving the same role she did in the main game. She also plays a prominent role in the new side mode, Minion Quest: The Search for Bowser. She is brainwashed by Fawful in order to help Cackletta take over the Beanbean Kingdom, and must be recruited by Captain Goomba and the Goomba Squad. She is found in Gwarhar Lagoon, participating in a beauty contest to prove herself as the prettiest one in the Kingdom. The Goomba Squad eventually battle and defeat her by participating in the contest themselves, and she is recruited soon after. As an ally, she is a Ranged-type unit and attacks by throwing rings around like boomerangs.

Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey[]

While Wendy was absent in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, she does appear in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey, specifically in the Bowser Jr.'s Journey side mode. She is first seen with the other Koopalings, trying to find the Giga Carrot to help cure the Blorbs. However, Bowser Jr. overhears the conversation and tries to get the Giga Carrot himself. The Koopalings chase him down and travel with him, though Wendy eventually disbands with Larry to return to Bowser's Castle, but not before getting angry with Jr.'s treatment of his allies. There, they see Lemmy getting attacked by Fawful's minions and try to flee, but are captured in barrels before they can escape. After being rescued by Jr., she joins his group again.

Super Smash Bros. series[]

WendyMemory4

Wendy with the other Koopalings and Bowser Jr. in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U.

In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Wendy and the rest of the Koopalings appear as Bowser Jr.'s alternate costumes. They have different voice clips and the announcer calls them by their names, but in terms of gameplay they have no differences. Wendy pilots a Jr. Clown Car with a pink rim and propeller and yellow lights in the place of its "eyes". In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Wendy uses her wand for the attacks Bowser Jr. would normally use a hammer with.

In Bowser Jr.'s reveal trailer in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U, she is shown with the other Koopalings in their Jr. Clown Cars before they attack the other fighters together.

Appearances[]

Battle for Dream Island Again Do-Over[]

Despite not appearing at all in the first 17 episodes, she would play a major role in Larry’s elimination, due to him being missing for a while. It’s currently unknown what she will do in the finale, though.

Nintendo Princesses[]

Wendy has been confirmed by the original Vined Inc. trailer to be a villain in the upcoming game Nintendo Princesses.

Mario Singalong! Series[]

Wendy O. (So far) has made two appearances in the Mario Singalong Series.

Singalong Down Under![]

Wendy made her debut in the Mario Singalong! Series in Mario Singalong Down Under! where she was an unlockable character to unlock her you had to sing "She's Country" by Adam Brand in Karaoke Mode at least once.

Mario Singalong: Ladies![]

Her next appearance in the singalong series was the Ladies Edition.

New Super Mario Bros YoYo Games[]

Wendy returns, ruling Sunburn Beach. Her minions are Squizzard, Burike, and Mummipokey X.

Bowser's Life Story[]

She is in the on the family party from Bowser. She is speaking whit Ludwig von Koopa and Crazy Bowser. In Download Play, the 6th player play with her.

Mario: World of Art[]

Wendy appears as the boss of Yellow City. Her battle is rather challenging; in the fight, you have to ground pound the Shaker Switch high up on a platform. She is in her "Tarantula Clown Car", a Koopa Clown Car with long legs. She blasts missiles at magic blasts at you while you parkour to the switch to hurt her. Hit it three times, and you get the Yellow Color Chrome.

Lets-a-go, Mario[]

Wendy O. Koopa reappears along with her 6 brothers as the bosses of the Nostalgia Area in Lets-a-go, Mario. She will throw bouncing rings like in most games. She can also fire blue orbs which will flood the room and then summons some aquatic enemies - either a school of Cheep-Cheeps, three Big Berthas, several Torpedo Teds, or some Jelectros. She can also breathe fire, like her siblings. She can also split into 3 and create pipes, which the three will hide in. The three then proceed to fire parallel pairs of rings upwards. If the false ones, which are paler than the real one, are stomped, they will turn into Spinies. Finally, she can shoot cyan orbs, which will freeze the room. This will make her skate around and chase the player. All of these moves are from or based off of her previous attacks in other games. Her personal minions are Ring Sisters, Hotheads, and Cheep-Cheeps.

She reappears with the other 6 Koopalings in HURRY UP! in the last part of the stage, again as a boss. She is the sixth Koopaling to fall off of the Koopa Clown Car. There, she attacks by creating rings to attack the player. Like her brothers, she falls off after she is hit by one of her own projectiles after it was reflected by Tornado Mario.

Newer Super Mario Bros U[]

Wendy reappears along with other Koopalings in this game. She is boss of the world 2: Coffee Desert.

Super Mario and the 8 Elemental Crystals[]

Wendy reappears in this game as the boss of Wendy's Bolt-Strike Castle, in World 1: Grassy Hills.

Super Mario Bros.: Fury Combined![]

Wendy appears as the boss of World 6: Foggy Forest. Like the other Koopalings, she is battled twice in her world.

Behind the Wheel[]

Wendy appears as a default playable character in the racing game Bowser's Castle Racing.

Stats[]

  • Weight: 36%
  • Driving Skill: 80%
  • Item Power: 48%
  • Speed: 74%

Game's Description[]

The Princess Wendy O. Koopa is the fourth youngest Bowser's child. She is the only daughter of the King of the Koopas. This flawed Koopa knows how to give a hard time to his brothers. She will always win using (cheats) her driving agility.

Something To Shut Her Up![]

Wendy has overthrown the Ocean Side King and turning him into a Spike for a second time during Godzilla vs. Bowser. As for her rule, it was short-lived thanks to Titanosaurus.

Wario & Waluigi: Golden Pyramid Raid[]

She is the third Koopaling to be fought.  She can throw icicles and ice cubes at you.  If an icicle hits you, you lose a heart.  If an ice cube hits you, you have to jump to avoid being thrown off into the lava.  You have to throw an ice cube at Wendy to knock her off the platform.  If that happens she'll jump back onto the platform and race around the edge.  Unlike the others she won't get out and she'll knock more cubes towards you.  Hit her again with an ice cube to knock her into the lava again.  Then she'll come back and repeat the first strategy.  Hit her with an ice cube once more to knock her into the lava, defeating the brat once again.

Shard Holder[]

Wendy holds the green rainbow shard in Green Forest on Super Mario 3D Overload. She is an upgraded version of Iggy, acting exactly the same. The only difference is now she shoots 2 beams out of her wand or she will shoot out a ring.

New Super Mario Bros. U 2:Legend of the Rainbow Stars[]

Wrndy reappears with her brothers in this game. She is boss of World 4:Donut Desert. To defeat her, you must catch the glass balls that she throws you and insert them in the cannons to shoot her. Repeat this action three times to defeat her, and the brat is gone.

Mario & Luigi: Heroes Through Time[]

Wendy is fought as the mid-boss of World 3. Here, she will pop out of four pipes, with several possibilities of what will happen...

1. Wendy will jump back into the pipe.

2. Wendy will throw a Candy Ring at you.

3. You will instead see a Cardboard Wendy.

In order to damage Wendy, hit her with the hammer (The real her, not a cardboard cutout held by a Bob-Omb), causing her to use her shell spin. Victory is achieved with the third hit Wendy takes, allowing you to proceed through World 3.

Yoshi's Brand New Island: Baby Bonanza![]

Wendy is fought as a mid-boss in this game. When Bowser went back in time to kidnap Baby Peach, he sent Wendy and her brothers out to cause mayhem in other kingdoms. Wendy's kingdom choice was Water Land, where she turned the queen into a Kappa.

Wendy is fought in World 3. She fights like she did in Super Mario Bros. 3 (Plus her shell spin) and recycles her arena from New Super Mario Bros. U, minus the icicles on the ceiling.

Wendy is again fought as the boss of World 3, riding an airship and shooting Candy Rings at the player, as well as Bullet Bills. Yoshi must eat a Bullet Bill and throw the resulting Metal Egg Dozer at Wendy to damage her, making her fight the player. Once you stomp on her, then repeat the entire process twice, Wendy is finally defeated and you get the key to World 4.

New Super Mario Bros. Lambda[]

Wendy appears in New Super Mario Bros. Lambda along with the other Classic 7 Koopalings. She is the Boss of World 3, Blooper Waves.

Super Mario Garden[]

Wendy appears as the main antagonist in Super Mario Garden. She's planning to take over the Wooded Kingdom with the help of Torkdrift. She reveals herself after the fight in the 8th world.

Star Team Heroes[]

She's one of the victims of the Kirthar's Snap Finger.

Mario Kart: Infinity Remix[]

Wendy appears as a playable character in Mario Kart: Infinity Remix. She is a lightweight character, meaning that she has great acceleration and handling stats, though rather poor speed and weight stats. She also has good mini-turbo and poor traction.

Wendy is an unlockable character, and is unlocked randomly after winning a gold trophy on any cup on any engine class.

Super Smash Bros. Charged[]

Wendy returns in Super Smash Bros. Charged, again as an alternate costume for Bowser Jr. However, like the other Koopalings, she has two additional costumes that change her colors. One is based off of her sprite in Super Mario Bros. 3, and another is based off of her sprite in Super Mario World.

Minion Quest: Strength in Numbers[]

Wendy reappears in Minion Quest: Strength in Numbers, where she appears to have a bigger role than her siblings in the story. She is seen being jealous that Bowser was able to get a wedding and not her, and wishes to marry someone and live happily ever after, and wanting to live a better life than the one she lives now.

TPXZF1997's Super Smash Bros.[]

Wendy appears as an alternate costume for Bowser Jr..

Super Mario Spikers[]

Wendy appears in Super Mario Spikers as a playable character, appearing as a Defensive-Type captain. Her special talent is her ribbons with candy rings around her arms, these can save balls anywhere else. Her emblem is a silhouette of her face in pink, her theme is Glam Rock.

Mario Tennis Ultimate (Deluxe)[]

Wendy appears in Mario Tennis Ultimate (Deluxe) as a playable character, being as an unlockable character in Ring Shot Mode… appearing as a Skill-Type character. She wears her ice skating shoes that converts itself with small sleds, only she can use them to save stray ball around the field (showing off her grateful talent as a dancer.) Just like references of this game on New Super Mario Bros. U. Her emblem is a silhouette of his face with a ribbon bow in pink, and her theme is Glam Pop.

Trivia[]

  • Wendy is one of the few non-contestant, non-hosts to have a major role in BFDIADO. The others are Eraser, who read the BFDI Game Rules in “Yeah, Who? I Wanna Know!”, Nick Le, who (partially) caused Nickel to be rejected (and always appeared when Nickel appears), and Columbia, Flower, and Fanny, who argued in BFDIADO 10. Wendy herself (indirectly) caused Larry’s elimination.
