War Hero is an open world adventure game developed by ochibrochi as part of [Swap Day], under the character prompt of Arundt Kaiser; "A tall, thin man who designs characters for a comic book during the Third Reich. He would go on to become a world famous comic artist after the Second World War, and will be the great-grandfather of Waluigi.", by TimeSoul.
Arundt Kaiser is a free-lancing artist during the Third Reich of Germany. At the event of the second World War, not being enlisted onto the battlefield, Kaiser finds himself having to travel across the country for personal, economical, and political reasons. Upon his journeys, he becomes more aware and open to the effects of the war as the poverty rate of the country increases. His travels lead him to contribute to society and propaganda through his artistic expression; his sentimental connection to poor children lead him to create one of the first instances of "cartoon heroes".
War Hero is set to be more of an "independent-artistic" game, and doesn't have a definitive final goal or end. The player unlocks various areas of Germany as they go along the journey, scoping out establishments to serve as a canvas to spread a visual message of "War and Politics" across the country-- the more significant the work is to the area, the more effective it is.
