- Last time on Kirby and Pokémon... Kirby's Warp Star saves the trio and it was all due to Koga. He give the heroes an chance to give King Dedede and Waddle Dee the slip. He has a plan to pretend to be evil. However an Eevee has his eyes on Waddle Dee. What will happen next? Stay tuned to find out.

- (Meanwhile with Dedede and Waddle Dee)

- (King Dedede uses his net launcher and catches Charizard)

- (Suddenly the screen behind them turns on)
- King Dedede: Attention Kirby. I have your Charizard. If you don't surrender to me right now, then all of Kanto will feel the wrath of Dedede.
- Kirby: Sorry King Dedede, but Koga is really evil and is holding me Tiff and Tuff a prisoner.
- King Dedede: I knew it! Waddle Dee pack your bags. We're off to the gym!
- Waddle Dee: Oh boy! Is it a play date?

- (The gym doors open and King Dedede and Waddle Dee walk in)
- King Dedede: YOU SHALL NOT PASS!
- Koga: Ah King Dedede, I was expecting you.
- King Dedede: You were.
- Koga: I sure did now join your enemies in a gym battle... TO THE DEATH.
- Waddle Dee: Why is everything TO THE DEATH?
- King Dedede: We're evil. Now...
- Both: Weezing, get him! Wait what? You have a Weezing too?
- Kirby: Battle now, questions later.
- Both: Okay!
