T-Rexvivosaur

T-Rex, the first vivosaur in the fossilary

Vivosaurs are the basis of Fossil Fighters. Vivosaurs have taken several traits from their foundation ground, and as such are no longer true prehistoric creatures, but a transformed version of of their counterparts. Their names are shortened versions of the scientific names of the animals they were. Vivosaurs can be carried around as Dino Medals, with a team of up to five at a time, but only three can fight at once. There are more than 100 vivosaurs, over 200 in Fossil Fighters: Ultra. Once a Vivosaur has maxed battle points, it can not be leveled-up any further, and it's medal will turn golden. Fossil Fighters: Ultra introduced 1 new element, lightning, as well as power stones, which boosts all your vivosaur's stats, as well as element stones, which can make your vivosaur's element type a hybrid element type.

Elements[]

Vivosaurs can be one of 7 element types (excluding hybrid element types), fire, water, air, earth, neutral, lightning, and legendary. All elements have a weakness and strength against another element, but the Neutral and Legendary elements have none. Hybrid Element Types are vivosaurs with a specific element type fusing with another element type. While element types that have strengths and weaknesses can only fuse with the strenght and weakness element types, neutral and legendary types can fuse with all types.

List of Element Strengths and Weaknesses

Element Strength Weakness
Fire Fire Medal Earth Earth Medal Water Water Medal
Water Water Medal Fire Fire Medal Lightning Lightning Medal
Earth Earth Medal Air Air Medal Fire Fire Medal
Air  Air Medal Lightning Lightning Medal Earth Earth Medal
Lightning Lightning Medal Water Water Medal Air Air Medal

Fossil Rocks[]

Fossils rocks contain parts of a vivosaur (Head, Body, Arms, Legs). A vivosaur only needs a Head fossil to be revived and used in battle, but will not have all of its skills until it gets all of its parts found, cleaned and integrated. Fossils are taken to the Cleaning Room in the Fossil Station to be cleaned and integrated into already revived vivosaurs or to be stored until the head is found. Be careful while cleaning a fossil as it can get damaged, especially with a hammer. Any fossil that is a body, arms, or legs can be integrated into the vivosaur it belongs to, thus making it stronger overall. Sometimes you will find rare red-boned fossils. These fossils will add 25 points when you clean them if it is successful (this is especially helpful when the fossil has low points). The max points a fossil can have is 125, as a result, the max points a Vivosaur can have without battling is 500, meaning all 4 fossil rock cleanings were red-boned and perfect, but this only applies to the first game. Fossil Fighters: Ultra has a max rank of 25 for the fighter and the vivosaurs. The only way to revive a vivosaur is to find that vivosaur's respective head and get a 50% or higher clean. There are other fossils rocks, called jewel rocks (Which can be sold at the shop for a decent price, especially if cleaned perfectly) and coprolites (Dropping fossils, which can be given to Nick Grant at the shop). Selling a dropping fossil to the Fossil Guild will only give you 1G so it isn't worth the effort to go and sell it. Also, if you find a fossil that you already have, you can either sell it at the shop, or clean it and trade it in for Donation Points at the Donation Center. If you trade in fossils at the Donation Center for Donation Points, you can use the Donation Points to buy rare fossils of vivosaurs.
