Welcome to my coverage of Fantendo Fanon Feature 2017! For years, all sorts of gaming journalists have covered E3 and given their thoughts on the various conferences and announcements. This year, given that I'm not participating, I decided to do the same.

Here, I'll handpick the biggest announcements and recommend a few conferences that are exceptional, underrated, or both. Fear not, though, I won't be handing out grades or anything. This is just a fun, positive exercise that might help streamline the showcase for you and get you some attention you ordinarily wouldn't.

Showcase Spotlight[]

  • Pyro Enterprises has been the highlight of several showcases, with in-depth trailers, unique projects, and a lot of love and care. Due to their popularity, I'm sure you've already commented, or you will.
  • PlayRight Games Inc. combines lots of detail with gorgeous art and spritework.
  • Amity seems prepared to deliver an immersive, interesting conference.
  • WesternSkies is giving their first presentation in a long time, so I'm sure it's gonna be packed with good stuff.
  • Cassadony has a unique blend of fun content, great art, and a sense of humor which is sure to make her conference a blast to read.
  • Crash Co. puts a lot of effort and detail into their announcements.
  • Revelation Heroes Entertainment has a lot of promising content.
  • Bleak Industries had a concise, sleek presentation that revealed a lot in very little time. One of my favorite conferences this showcase.
  • Toroko continues to impress with gorgeous art and intriguing set-ups for their biggest projects.
  • Blender Maximum has some of the most interesting reveals this showcase, definitely one of my favorite presentations.
  • Lone Planet Productions went into detail with both intriguing announcements for projects new and old. If you like this studio at all or are curious, I would definitely recommend giving it a read.

  • Lone Planet Productions has announced their reboot of a cancelled project, Mega Man Universe as well as Button: Interdimensional Knight.
  • ATK Studios is making a sequel to the classic Crash Bandicoot games, Crash Bandicoot: World Tour.
  • Pyro Enterprises has revealed more content for Pokémon Anima and new game Streak.
  • Revelation Heroes Entertainment has announced Stix Revamped and Dominant Rage.
  • EnderLegends revealed more about their ARMS DLC.
  • Poisonshot went in-depth on First Bloom.
  • PlayRight Games Inc. has shown off the the sequel to Return to the Kingdom, Return to the Kingdom: Revenge is Golden. They've also announced the dungeon crawler Pac-Man: The Final Labyrinth and talked more about MegaMecha: Speed Strike Adventure.
  • Amity is bringing Godspeed to your console with less restrictions than ever.
  • WesternSkies went in-depth on Pokémon Acid and Blade.
  • Cassadony's Dear Sweet Sister is a prequel to Hinweis.
  • AM Studios talked about the Spec headset and an app controller.
  • Crash Co. is bringing back a classic series with Wario Land: The Gold Dimension.
  • Bleak Industries is adding three new original characters to Shangri-La and making Tessellate: Mind Games.
  • Blender Maximum is continuing a popular series with Mario & Luigi: Hats Off and working on a new IP, Lifebuoy.
  • Flaming Games is developing the disturbing Eternal Awakening.
  • Cryobyte talked about FOUR.

Day 3[]

  • Lone Planet Productions discussed Disney's Creationauts and Kirby and the Hourglass Empire.
  • Blender Maximum announced Super Mario Heavens.
  • Pyro Enterprises has revealed life simulator Silent Seas Resort and platformer Super Mario Powers: Kuro.
  • Phazonworks Engineering Division expanded on Injustice 3.
  • Revelation Heroes Entertainment is going to helm Pokémon Ash and Amber and The Legend of Zelda: Gauntlet of Fates.
  • PlayRight Games Inc. announced Season 2 of Double Deck, a new series for Face Off!, and a naming contest for their new League of Fantendo Critics.
  • Amity brought us info on stages and chariot pieces for Godspeed.
  • Poisonshot spoke of First Bloom's locations.
  • WesternSkies talked about a brand new season of ARMS fighting!
  • AM Studios spoke of the Subverse, it's first installment, and The Legend of Zelda: The Wings of Avifon.
  • Crash Co. announced Yoshi's Island Switch and two newcomers for Super Smash Bros. Crash.
  • Cryobyte revealed Godzilla: Clash of the Monsters
  • Toroko has announced new characters for Fantendo Smash Bros. Victory and a mysterious project.

Day 4[]

  • Lone Planet Productions revealed the ambitious Exalian Disneyverse.
  • Blender Maximum announced The Last Metroid.
  • Pyro Enterprises talked about The Legend of Zelda: Soul Compass and revealed Sunborn.
  • Phazonworks Engineering Division revealed Ed-vengers vs. N-Men.
  • Revelation Heroes Entertainment talked about the Vigilante trilogy.
  • EnderLegends is adding Pauline and Cappy to Mario Kart Switch and partnering with Funko to make new Nintendo-themed POP figures.
  • PlayRight Games Inc. is bringing back NYAN, opening up a comics division, and running the Fantendo Art Show. They also talked about the Blue Rare Gallery, which will bring readers Sword, Staff, Sledge, Plasma Bolt!, and Super Exchange Student.
  • Amity is hosting a Godspeed AMA.
  • Poisonshot discussed First Bloom's gameplay.
  • Super Studios announced Mecharms and expanded on Mario & Luigi: Brothers in Spirit.
  • WesternSkies revealed Pokémon Destiny Diamond and Volition Pearl.
  • AM Studios revealed Mario Kart C.
  • Flaming Games revealed Pokémon Sun and Cloud.

Day 5[]

  • Lone Planet Productions talked more about Punch-Out!! Revolution and Luigi's Mansion: Witching Hour. They then revealed Sonic Aristocrats and closed out their conference with an AMA and logo reveal.
  • Blender Maximum revealed smaller information on multiple projects.
  • Pyro Enterprises showed off some gorgeous pixel art for Lostwards.
  • Phazonworks Engineering Division announced The Wolf: The Seven-Trial Journey.
  • EnderLegends revealed 'FNAF World: Take 2.
  • PlayRight Games Inc. revealed Kirby Paradox Hour, Star Fox vs. Lylat Legion, and Smash Mobile.
  • Amity's presentation was hijacked by the mysterious Ravager.
  • Poisonshot discussed their other games, most notably a Fierce Tales reboot and the Ladybug Project.
  • Super Studios talked more about Mecharms.
  • WesternSkies announced Cosmic Road Trip.
  • AM Studios talked about the starters in Pokémon Chronos and Cosmos Versions.
  • Cryobyte is venturing into multiplayer shooters with At Hell's Gate.
