All users must be 13 or older to join.
Yes, yes, I know change is scary, but this is not a bad thing.
In addition to following the law and wikia's rules, this will make the wikia a safer, more comfortable place and hopefully prevent a great deal of drama.
"But Spark! I'm under 13 and I'm already a member!"
All users that have previously contributed and are under 13 will be allowed to continue editing. It would be unfair to ban users for a rule that didn't exist when they joined. However, they will no longer receive 2 warnings before a ban. If you break the rules, then you either get a reminder (if it's very minor) or an instant ban.
"Will you report underage users to Wikia?"
Personally? No. I can't speak for anyone else but I don't really care what wikia does. That's not really any of my business, and I don't mind you being on wikia.
"I fucking hate you Spark you ruin everything!"
I understand being angry but there are two things that you should know:
- This is for your own good, and will help regulate drama in the community
- This wasn't my idea, nor was it my decision. The admins took a vote on it, and the majority said yes. Two admins did not vote due to being unavailable, but there were enough yes votes that it would be impossible for their decision to effect it regardless.
