Stingby | Basic | When you're traversing precarious platforms, many confederate enemies contain a larger threat than the Stingby. Stingbies are extremely terretorial, and they're always ready to deal with trespassers. use a certain power-up to defeat one. | |
Cheep-Cheep | Underwater | Cheep-Cheeps just swim around. Mario can only stomp them above water, so he must use a Fireball. Some Cheep-Cheeps jump out the water, and some are even found splashing in the overworld. | |
Deep-Cheep | Underwater | Follows Mario until he's no longer in sight, jumped out the water or when this fish met a wall Mario passed through. Kill him with fireballs. | |
Cheep-Chomp | Underwater | A giant Cheep-Cheep that swims though the water, trying to eat Mario. If it does succeed, it will kill him instantly. They can be defeated with fireballs, but if Mario uses a Star, it will flee from him, making it hard to defeat. 3 1-Up Mushrooms will be rewarded if Mario can defeat one. | |
Torpedo Ted | Underwater | A Torpedo Ted looks like a Bullet Bill, but with some torpedo traits: they're longer than Bullet Bills and have a white propeller on their end. Unlike Bullet Bills, Torpedo Teds can destroy anything in its path (exept walls). | |
Blooper | Underwater | This squid follows Mario on a very strange pattern. There are bloopers that hide themselves behind scenery and swims straight to Mario. Others may also squirt ink to him. | |

Pokey | Desert | Tall slow-moving cactus enemies that can't be stomped, but can be eaten by Yoshi. If Yoshi eats the head of the Pokey, he will eat the whole Pokey, but he can also eat part of it. The same thing goes for fireballs. If Fire Mario destroys the head, he destroys the entire Pokey. | |
Magikoopa | Tower | Magician Koopas that use their wands to send flying balls toward Mario. They can also disappear and reappear in a different area, like their boss Kamek, can be defeated with a stomp like most enemies. | |
Fuzzy | Basic | An odd enemy that rotate around wires. They are exposed to fireballs and iceballs, which must be crushed after. However, they can also help Mario if he freezes them, them having the ability to ride the blocks to secret areas. | |
Para-Beetle | Airborne | A bigger flying Buzzy Beetle where Mario can ride on. If Mario jumps on eight Para-Beetles in a row, a 1-Up Mushroom falls out of the sky. | |
Chain Chomp | Basic | A chained creature with traits of a dog. It tries to bite Mario, but being chained at a pole doesn't let him attack from far. Free him by ground pounding the pole into the ground... if you dare at least. But don't worry. When freed, it goes away. | |
Wiggler | Basic | Cute caterpillar guys that are harmless, until Mario jumps on them. They will them go on a rampage and Mario must avoid them. They can be defeated with fireballs. Mega Wigglers however, will not get mad when stomped. | |
Cosmic Clone | Various | Clones of Mario and friends that appear out of black holes. They will follow them and do exactly as he does. Multiple Cosmic Clones will come out of a black hole, and they can be only be defeated by using a Super Star. |
