Trails of the Universe is a 3D RPG by Power Paintbrush Productions. The game is planned to be released in October 2015 for the United Kingdom, and December 2015 Worldwide.
The player may have five characters in their party. No two characters can be the same. The player's party must have two characters in the Front Row and three in the Back Row, or Vice Versa.
Note that Carbuncle Crown and Sky Highwind can only be played as if purchased through Downloadable Content.

Prologue: The Prophecy
It all began with a peaceful kingdom in another universe, far from our own, titled Loralia. A place where humans and monsters lived in peaceful harmony... but such could not remain.
2000 years ago, an ancient evil had awoken and stolen the light from the kingdom's crystals. Without the crystals, life could not coexist with nature. The winds died, the seas raged, the earth decayed...
...but there was still a glimmer of hope. A great sage made a prophecy, that four heroes would save the world. That the shards of four crystals carried by the Warriors would fix the catastrophe, banish the villain, and end Loralia's reign of danger...
Chapter 1: The Darkness
The four heroes arrived at the Kingdom of Light, the central land of Loralia, and from here went to request the king if they could help rescuing Princess Sophia. Taking the task bestowed upon them, they headed towards the Keep of Darkness. Here, they managed to confront and defeat the Dark Knight, a former knight who had turned to the dark side in the distant past, who was in possession of a mysterious black crystal...
Chapter 2: The Bridge
Now that Sophia had been rescued and was safe and sound, the heroes were given the princess' greatest treasure as a gift... a harp? In all mysteriousity, the four heroes crossed the newly-built bridge across the mainland to the Land of Fish.
However, when they got to the Land of Fish and its native town, they had found that everyone was indoors! Running to solve the problem, they confronted the Pirate Captain and his crafty crew, and in the end resulted victorious...
Chapter 3: The Ship
Our heroes have obtained the pirate's most trusted ship, The Phantom. They sailed off to the Land of Myths, only to find their newborn prince was under a magical sleep!
Searching for a cure, they headed off to the Labyrinth, west to the castle, and below the King's Keep, where the kingdom's retired king now resides. Instead of a cure, however, they found a Behemoth!
Returning from their plight in the dungeon, they delivered the crown they had acquired to the king - but it was no king! It was the Dark Elf's ruler! After a long and tiring fight, however, they managed to do it.
Returning to the Land of Fish, they gave the Crystal Eye that the Dark Elf had taken back to the native sorceress of the Land of Fish. As a reward, she gave the heroes Jolt Milk, a superior healing formula.
Chapter 4: The Key
Our mysterious heroes rush to the Land of Myths to feed the healing tonic to the Baby Prince. It was an amazing restorative tonic! It only worked in a second or so! And as a reward, the healer gave the Warriors a Mystic Key...
Finding Dynamo Powder in the depths of the Kingdom of Light's palace, our heroes rush to the Dwarf's Mountain, and using the mysterious explosive, they manage to blow up the canal!
The empty canal opens a path to the Land of Fire, a Kingdom decayed in terms of its earth. So our heroes run to the Earthen Cavern and defeat the Vampire Bat there, finding a Star Sapphire. Using this as food, they manage to get the Iron Golem in the Giant's Cave, opening the way to the cavern that the sage calls his home. The old wizard grants the Warriors an Earth Rod...
The Earth Rod breaks the seal in the cavern, so they can run down to its bottommost depths. Here, they find Terrearth, the Skeletal Wizard, and challenge him to a treacherous combat, in order to restore the Earth Crystal that the villain had contaminated.
Chapter 5: The Airship
Our crystal-bearing heroes take their ship to the Land of Ice, which coexists with the Fire Crystal. However, they aren't the only ones there! A canoeist is also there, giving the party his Magical Folding Canoe. Using the canoe, they head to the Frosted Cave, where they meet and fight King Behemoth and collect the Floating Stone.
Their next destination is the Southern Desert. As they arrive here, the stone reacts, causing a magical airship to rise out the ground! Riding this airship, they head to Mount Glug.
At the great volcano in the centre of the Land of Ice, on a plain island of its own, the heroes climb down towards finding and defeating the Snake Woman, Fuerre, and once they do so they restore the Fire Crystal's power.
Chapter 6: The Ocean
Riding on their airship towards the Land of Lightning, the heroes climb into the Waterfall Cave, where they find an Automaton with treasure in his possession, including the elusive Red Ribbon.
Back at the town, there's a resident who built a submarine. But she's missing a vital thing required to be able to swim underwater...
On such notice, the heroes fly to the Land of Colour, where they meet a friendly Fairy. The fairy gives them four Oxygen Exchangers, and with these they can dive in the submarine towards the Aquarium Temple.
On the top of the temple, they find a group of mermaids. The mermaids offer the party their treasure, including the super-special Blue Ribbon.
Deep beneath the temple, our four heroes are 20,000 feet under sea level, yet they still have to face Leauwater, the Octopus King, and restore the Water Crystal from its state of disorder.
Chapter 7: The Sky
The party can now make their way to the Land of Sky, and here learn from the resident dragons (And their king, Bahamut) and grant the Red Ribbon to the underground statue of the kingdom's goddess.
With the Red Ribbon tied to the statue, the heroes can proceed on their quest, through the desert-like land and into Mirage Tower. A doppelgänger blocks the way, but our four heroes can use their Blue Ribbon to change its malevolent mind, allowing them to pass.
Climbing up the tower, past the three Gigas Brothers and towards the Sky Palace, the heroes are now ready to fight dangerous mechs, terrifying dragons and Venwind, the Elemental Hydra, in order to restore the Wind Crystal.
Chapter 8: The Crystals
Returning to the Keep of Darkness, the four valiant heroes used the power of their crystals to operate the Void Warp, which leads them to the all-too-dangerous World of Darkness.
Within the veil, the heroes encounter the Shadow Behemoth, and after defeating him, using Princess Sophia's harp, can open a magic ladder down to the depths of darkness. Within the void, resurrected versions of the Four Fiends appear.
Fighting through without fear, the brave heroes are now in the depths of darkness, coming face-to-face with the Dark Knight. The heroes, however, soon find out his true identity - the Ultimate Evil, the Dark Light! After a long round of combat, the nightmare is defeated and peace brought to the world.
...or had they? Soon there was a massive explosion and, running from the terror, the heroic party only just escape on some conveniently placed gliders.
Epilogue: The Hero
And so our epic story of children's fantasy, classic RPG and amazing sky-high graphics has been closed on such a notice that the Darkness that had flooded Loralia is now no longer in existence. Yet if it wasn't for that explosion that occurred 14 Billion Years Ago, the Big Bang that began the world, then the World of Darkness would never have ended.
But such is believed by some to merely be a fantasy, crossing the trails of the universe through time is such a feat that four young heroes couldn't have possibly risked their lives to do such...
...for you are the warrior who crossed time.
You are the hero who crossed the Trails of the Universe to save us all...
...the hero who held the fate of all existence in their hands.
Gameplay is similar to a classic RPG, however it's touched controlled. The player uses touching, swiping and drawing with the stylus to use their abilities once chosen - the closer they are to the requirement, or the more they can successfully do it, the stronger the ability becomes.
It also features tilt control for the Ship, Airship and Gliders (Which are used in Explosive Escapes). The player must use the map to successfully navigate through the sky and sea, in order to reach their destination.
