The Pokémon Terrarium is a Pokémon game which features exclusively Bug and Bug-like Pokémon. There are various activities to do, such as battling, doing contests or doing research on the Pokémon in the Terrarium.

Gameplay

The main goal of the game is to capture all of the Pokémon in the "Pokémon Terrarium". You can also go to some areas out of the Terrarium to do various activities such as Bug Contests, Pokémon Battles and more.

Unlike main Pokémon games, the Pokémon have set movepools and don't learn new moves. However, they unlock all thier moves from the start. Additionally, they can have up to 5 moves. Mega-Evolved Pokemon can learn up to 7 through.

Catching Pokémon

When you go in the Terrarium, you can go to various sections to find Pokemon. There are many different sections, such as a forest, a plain and even a beach.

While walking in these areas, you will randomly encounter bugs. You can choose to throw a Net Ball at it, but the chance is pretty low without using ways to boost your catching rate. For example, you can give food to the Pokémon, through the food depends on the insect. You can also choose to fight the Pokémon with those you catched. If the Net Ball fails to capture the Pokémon, it will run away and you will have to find another Pokémon.
