The Muppets video game is an 3-D action platformer game by Clover Entertainment. It is for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, Wii U, Nintendo DS, and Nintendo 3DS. It is the first Muppets game to be made in several years. It is primarily based off the recent film The Muppets, which had Jason Segel in it. It was released on June 3rd, 2012, selling 70,000 copies so far.
Plot[]
Set 6 months after The Muppets, Kermit the Frog and his friends are preparing for their next show coming in a week. But the Moopets have returned, and they have a new leader, called Hermit the Toad. Hermit kidnaps Miss Piggy. It's up to Kermit the Frog, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, Animal and Walter to go on a quest to save Miss Piggy and the entire Muppet Theatre.
Gameplay[]
Basically, the gameplay is a 3D action platformer. The player can choose one of your favorite Muppets to play as, being Kermit the Frog, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, Walter or Animal. The player's goal is to defeat the enemies (which are robots created by the Moopets to stop the Muppets) by jumping on them or using the player's Muppet of choice's unique abilities. Kermit can jump the highest (because he's a frog, obviously), Fozzie is the strongest, Gonzo is the fastest, Walter is the most balanced and Animal can regenerate health faster. The player can explore through several levels, such as Kermit's swamp, the city of Los Angeles, the Muppet Theatre, and the Moopets' secret lair. The player can buy tools in between levels (such as squirt guns and baseball bats) to defeat the enemies.
Every 3 levels, the player will encounter a boss, which they must defeat. The player needs a unique method for each boss to defeat it. There's also online multiplayer, where the player can play Muppet minigames with their friends or other players around the world. Finally, there's a new Muppet maker, where the player can create their own Muppet and share it with their friends.
