The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past HD is an upcoming game for the Nintendo Switch. It serves as a remake of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past that was released for the SNES back in 1992.

Overview[]

A Link to the Past turned out to be a huge success for the SNES, selling 4.61 million copies worldwide. An enhanced port was released for the Game Boy Advance in late 2002 with Four Swords also included. With the rising success of improving technology, especially the Nintendo Switch dominating in sales, fans demanded a remake for A Link to the Past. ILCA, a company most notable for the works of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, decided to step in for the development of the remake for A Link to the Past. The company would make the graphics similar to those in A Link Between Worlds in order to avert being criticized for its subpar rating on the chibi graphic art in the DP remakes.

Music[]

The music for this remake is composed by Ryo Nagamatsu. The music for the dungeons are different for all just like in A Link Between Worlds. Agahnim has its own boss theme music while the bosses of the dungeons in the dark world use the Lorule boss theme. Dark Link uses a similar remix of the same signature theme from Zelda II: The Adventure of Link.
