The Biggest Army the World has ever seen is a two-part episode that takes place in the New Fantendoverse (pending canonicity). The episodes follows a soldier who wakes up after being shot in a war finding all those around him dead and gone, seemingly being the last one alive. The story is bisected into two sections, the first act leading up to the soldier getting shot and the second act where the soldier is exploring the surrounding terrain.

Act 1: Marching as One[]

The scene opens to a group of soldiers in a gunfight within a trench, flashes from a neighbouring trenches signal the enemies who're firing on the group, one of the soldiers is shot in the soldier causing him to fall, whilst another readies a grenade and lobs it over to the other trench, getting his arm shot four times. The soldier the point of view is from is shown having their gun jammed, attempting to reload, successfully getting it to work before readying their shot, as they raise their gun to shoot the commanding officer next to them orders them down due to the grenade but is too late as the grenade explodes only half-way through its flight sending shrapnel down seeming to take out the enemies in the other trench but also causing shrapnel to fly into the soldier's eyes and upper chest.

Suddenly the soldier wakes up, finding themselves in a sleeping quarters, looking around they see other soldiers sleeping, and dismisses the dream, trying to go back to sleep, lying down we see tucked between the frame and mattress of their bed is a small book. The soldier eventually falls asleep and time passes as the next day arrives.

A commanding officer barges into the sleeping quarters, dressed from head-to-toe in an impressive dark blue uniform with white stripes indicating his rank above the soldiers found in the sleeping quarters, a name is plastered above the badges the officer is wearing reading "E. Hearting".

Hearting: Wake Up! We've got orders soldiers, today's the big day, deployment to the front line, you'd best kiss the sweet comfort of those excuses you call beds behind, all meet in front of the Commander's Tent by 0600 hours.

Hearting exits the quarters as the various soldiers get up from their beds, the scene passes through the window of the sleeping quarters skipping ahead to when the soldiers are exiting the quarters and heading to the Commander's Tent, and then passing behind another tent before showing the soldier's gathered at the Commander's Tent itself.

Hearting: Alright soldiers, look ready! Tuck in that shirt 47! You offend this great country of ours with that poor attire.

One of the soldiers quickly tucks in their shirt as the perspective shifts to the eyes of the commander, walking slowly out of her tent we see the same soldier finish tucking his shirt in as the commander stands in front of the group of soldiers, who, along with the officer salute the commander.

Hearting: Commander Myrne, the soldiers are ready, the supplies have been loaded up, the tactics were double checked for potential errors, and everything's ready for your orders.

Myrne: Thank you Officer Hearting, you're dismissed.

Hearting finishes his salute to the commander and then marches off, a mixture of fear and pride is seen in his march, intimidated and yet captivated by the commander.

Myrne: Alright Soldiers, let's make this quick and simple, enemy forces were sighted seventy-one klicks North of our Station here, form what we're informed it's a Scouting Party with some heavy infantry support, this is going to be a clean and simple run, Soldiers 2, 28, 57 & 93 will be given the battle plans, the rest of you are to follow their orders from there, if everything goes smoothly you'll be back in time for dinner, but do not get cocky, the last thing you want is to be out in Striker's Lane for long enough that they get reinforcements.

Commander Myrne salutes the soldiers and hands out the battle plans she was carrying under her arm to four of the soldiers, before marching back into her tent, the soldiers gather around the four with the battle plans to receive their specific orders.

Soldier 28: Alright, guys follow me, we've got a sixteen man-mission.

Soldier 28 along with the sixteen Soldiers head towards one of the planning tents, where he lays out the battle plans on the table with the soldiers surrounding it.

Soldier 28: alright, we're going to be on the Left Flank for this one, we've got the forward, middle and rear, so 14, 39, 72, 73 & 85 you're going to be on rear, go get stocked up on the supply lines.

The camera follows the five soldiers as they head out of the tent towards an armoured supply carrier, the driver, greets the soldiers as 72 and 73 jump into the front seat while the other three begin loading supplies on the back.

Driver: Ah, 72 and 73, they got you knuckleheads doing the supply run then?

Soldier 72: tch, got lucky, front runners are going to get shot up in this one, there's a mounted gun in the scouting reports, that'll tear anyone on the center forward to shreds.

Soldier 73: Did you see though, they say they've got a radar too, I dunno what's up with this scouting run the enemy's got but it's not a normal one.

Driver: You reckon its a code breaker then? If so we could be well on our way to getting screwed if they've tapped us.

Soldier 73: Nah, code breakers never travel with Heavy Infantry, it jams the signals in their visors, I think it might be a recon set-up.

The camera pans over to Soldiers 14, 39 & 85 who're loading stuff onto the vehicle, 85 is reading off and checking off the containers as each one's loaded on.

Soldier 85: 7-50, check! 7-52, check!, 7-52B, check! Hang on, 14, bring back that container.

The container 14 is carrying is brought back, 85 leans down to take a closer look at it.

Soldier 85: Looks like the lock might've been damaged, get the keys we need to make sure it's not jammed.

14 quickly runs over to the driver.

Driver: Oh, 14, hey what's up?

Soldier 14: One of the lock's damaged, we need to check if it's jammed, have you got your keys on you?

'Driver'Uhh, yep, hang on

The driver opens up a small compartment below the speedometer, within are the driver's keys as well as a packet of matches and a small blinking red light.

Driver: Here you go, I'll need them back though, can't get some of the compartments open without them.

Soldier 14 takes the keys and quickly runs back to the back of the truck and hands the keys to 85 who takes the skeleton key and tests the lock, fortunately it opens easily and 85 quickly relocks it handing the keys back to 14 as he loads the container onto the vehicle, 14 then heads back to the driver, returning the keys.

Driver: Ah thanks 14, anyways as I was saying, they had the beachfront on lock down and the sand turrets had jammed due to water that'd gotten stuck in the ignition system, so 104 grabbed the shell out of the turret and snatched one of my matches and jammed it up the bottom of the shell before lobbing it at the enemy, bastard nearly lost his arm doing that, but yeah so we were able to keep the beach front held down until reinforcements arrived because the boys started lobbing the shells like 104 did and we sank four boats because of it.

Time is shown to pass as the camera pans overhead of the camp showing the soldiers readying themselves to deploy out, as a bird flies in front of the camera, it cuts to the supply vehicle moving out from camp in a chain, in the inky dead of night the marshlands where the vehicles are traversing is shown to be eerily silent with a gentle wind blowing up against the reeds that're growing out from the bogs. The camera pans down inside the supply vehicle's back where we see 14, 39 & 85 resting on a triple bunk bed in the back of the truck.

Soldier 39: Did you guys here the rumor about the new tech the enemy has?

Soldier 85: Wait is this the jets, because that one turned out to be false.

Soldier 39: What, no it was the one about some sort of Fire Spitter, basically they repurposed broken Machine Guns that can't fire loads any more and instead load up lighter ammunition and ignite it, apparently they might be implementing it around here.

Soldier 85: That's stupid, where are they gonna get light enough ammo for that, let alone in the right shape, the Machine Guns are fickle, remember when 61 tried to jame a 4-19 into a Machine Gun and it blew up in his face?

Soldier 39: Yeah, still though, if they've got something like that in the works this could turn sour fast.

More time passes as the supply vehicles are shown to have reached a checkpoint where the soldiers begin setting up ready for the oncoming attack, Soldiers 14, 39, 72, 73 & 85 head up along a dense bog with some overhanging trees to provide shade, setting up their supply deposits, more time passes with the five of them sitting around a radio in the pitch-darkness of night, the Radio seems to be broadcasting from the soldier's homeland.

Radio Host: Yes and it seems that in recent negotiations the minister is looking to push for a revote in the recent election sighting enemy propoganda as a reason for the upset in the polls, others however seem to be confident in their victory although that slim 1.4% majority has cause for criticism among voters...

Soldier 72: Can you believe that, she'd been re-elected twice and help keep this land from being taken over by those bastards and how do the public thank her, by trying to portray her as a demon, jeez.

Soldier 85: It's the ease of life there, fact of the matter is that if that case with the representative comes back and he was conspiring with the enemy, that's a good ten percent of the opposition's government under investigation for corruption and conspiracy.

Soldier 14: Wait shh, they're saying something else.

Radio Host: ... and we're just getting reports now, recent surveillance of an enemy base, the recently captured Fort Alexander has revealed schematics for a 9-49 Type E Class weapon, unfortunately the schematics are heavily damaged but if they are to be believed then the enemy may now be in the process of creating a weapon that will completely dominate the battlefield, I've got with me here General Briggs who's researchers and engineers have been working tirelessly to reverse engineer the designs in the schematic and adapt the technology.

General Briggs: Yes, that's right, we can't release any details on the matter at the moment, but as it currently stands we're expecting to have equal footing against this new threat deploying in our future operations within two to four months.

Soldier 85: Two Months?! Are they kidding, if that weapon's already in production we'll have lost nine months worth of push once it's deployed, by then the researchers will need to be picking up guns and defending themselves.

Soldier 14: They haven't got it in production yet, the schematics would only be theoretical, it'd take them at least three more weeks to even get something of that magnitude prepared.

The soldiers continue to bicker however footsteps are heard in the distance and they quickly turn off the radio and fall silent, the footsteps get closer until an individual appears from the high grass, the soldiers at the ready, notice that it's just another Soldier, 97, who was on duty to check on each of the groups for a status update.

Soldier 97: Put them down, guys, I'm just here to get a status update, how're the supplies looking?

Soldier 73: Yeah they're good, no action means no consumption, so we've still got all our ammo reserves.

Soldier 97: Alright, well anyways apparently Right Flank had been receiving weird messages on their Radio they reckon its the enemy forces apparently they might be moving East of our expected intercept point so just be on the ready to move we-

Soldier 97 is cut-off as a bullet cracks through the air, cutting a chunk out her neck as she falls to the ground, suddenly in a blaze of light the reeds light up from muzzles being fired, the enemy had been able to sneak a heavy infantry into the Left Flank.

Retaliating the soldiers open fire as the entire marshland lights up in a blaze of gunfire, through the flashes the three sections of the left flank as well as the West Central Division unleash hundreds of bullets at the targets, however through this it's shown that there is an artillery hidden amongst the enemy units and with that a sudden boom from the artillery's cannon fires up into the air, silencing the gunfire in an instance, the shell with a red light flies up into the air before a crack is heard and the shell rips open causing an explosion raining shrapnel down in hundreds of directions, the soldiers quickly attempt to take cover under bullet shields from the shot.

Soldier 85: We need to take out the artillery, grab the high-power explosive rounds, 72!

Soldier 72 quickly scrambles to one of the containers grabbing several clips of a distinctly orange coloured bullet bringing the back to the group.

Soldier 72: Alright, quickly now, remember, 3 man volley!

Soldier 14, 72 and 85 peak up from their shields and unleash a volley of the rounds before 39 and 73 do the same, the quick swapping guarding them from most of the gunfire, after each round a second passes before an explosive burst is seen hitting near or outright hitting the enemies. An enemy shield goes flying off and 14 takes a quick shot firing between the enemy lines hitting the artillery cannon on its barrel causing a dent resulting in the next round that fires exploding in the chamber killing the enemies.

The Soldiers gasp for air as they regroup from their scattering, returning to their station. Soldier 73 looks over 97 trying to determine if she's still alive or not.

Soldier 85: What's her status, 73, awake, unconscious or dead?

Soldier 73: It's hard to tell, the bullet's grazed her but the wound is pretty de-

Suddenly an unearthly roar is heard from the distant North-East, Soldier 85 looks up from the reeds and sees a an impossible sight, a massive army, far greater than the one they were expecting on the horizon, tanks, infantry, horseback, thousands in a massive line with a roaring fire behind them.

Soldier 85: No, guys, we need to move now! It's the main force, the information was wrong, we need to get back to our communcations tower and warn the commander, 14, make the sprint now.

Soldier 14 quickly gets up and begins sprinting South-Eastward, running through thick brush and reeds as he hears gunfire and explosive rounds going off around him, looking back he sees 85 firing at an oncoming Mech-Unit before getting shot upon by several infantry. An explosion goes off near 14 causing a ringing in his ears but he persists, soon reaching the communications tower having dropped his weapons along the way.

The hurried rushes of soldiers around the communications tower as bombardment after bombardment from the unstoppable war machine from the North draws closer seem to drown out the noise of the soldiers yelling to one another, Soldier 14 hurries through the crowded rooms, passing blurs of men and women, machines wirring trying to relay the information of the attack, Soldier 14 bursts into the command room, Myrne is yelling orders to others from atop a wooden box, berating soldiers as they bring her new information.

Soldier 14: C-Commander, the enemy!-

Myrne: Yes, 14 I already know, in fact I'm pretty sure everyone knows, look around you.

Soldier 14 pants, and pauses allowing his vision to clear, looking around he sees dozens of men and women lying up against the walls of the tower, struck with shrapnel and bullet wounds, most unable to move or already dead, the dwindling medical staff trying to take care of those still alive.

Myrne: This is no time for pointless update reports 14, We need as many out on the front line as possible, we need to hold the communications tower to relay the warning to main base, they'll be crippled by the attack otherwise.

Soldier 14: Yes, Commander!

Soldier 14 quickly rushes back out of the communications tower, picking up a 7-50 Rifle on the way out, heading back to his encampment. Upon returning he finds the devastation that was wrought from the attack, the ammunition had gone up in blazes scorching the plants around, the bodies of 14's co-hort were scorched from the blast, burning off their skin making them indistinguishable aside from the numbers on their helmets.

Soldier 14: Oh this is bad, let's see, Ammo, nope, shit the tags are gone too, they're going to jam the signals.

Whilst Soldier 14 is wandering around an arm suddenly grabs him pulling him to the ground, in a panic Soldier 14 unleashes a hail of gunfire, killing the unlucky enemy soldier although alterting a search party to his location, Soldier 14 begins running as the flashlights of the enemy chase him through the scorched grass, trying to stay low, he hears the gunfire from the enemy flying past him, narrowly missing him, suddenly a bullet strays and catches his left arm, causing him to tumble, falling down 14 finds himself right next to 97's lifeless body, seemingly untouched, the enemy approach upon Soldier 14 holding their guns up to his head.

Soldier 14: Ok! Ok! I surrender, just don't kill me...

Soldier 14 rips off his tags and holds them out as a bargaining chip to the enemy, one of them walks up to 14 and snatches them out of his hand, chuckling as he looks at them before stomping on 14's right arm with a heavy boot, holding the arm down whilst firing three shots into it, disabling 14 completely. 14 lets out a cry of pain as the cracked bones puncture his muscles and blood vessels from within with each movement. The enemy soldiers begin to walk off, as Soldier 14 slowly kneels up to see them.

Soldier 14: Fuck you! Piece of-

Before 14 can finish his insult, one of the soldiers turns around grabbing a revolver out of their pocket and shooting 14 right in the neck, causing him to bleed out, bruised and battered from his injuries 14 collapses lying next to 97 as he dies in the burning battlefield as the war machine moves on to capture the Communications Tower before it could send out its relay.

Act 2: Woke Up Alone[]

Amongst a vast meadow of flowers and tall grass, dew from rain the night before resting on the leaves, with a large forest in the South-East, we see something rustling in the grass as the camera pans across the scene, a deer crops its head up from the grass, chewing on the foliage before twitching its ears, more rustling is hear and the deer watches carefully as another deer pops out of the grass, calling to the first deer, the two approach one another and continue moving along, in the distance more rustling is seen and the camera moves towards the source of the rustling showing a person in very simplistic, tribal attire hunting the deer whilst carrying a small knife around their mid-section and a Bow in their hands.

The camera shifts to a first-person perspective of the hunter, as we see them look periodically up from the grass to keep track of the deer, with each check showing them closing in on the deer, eventually we see the deer attempting to nudge a tree to cause some fruit from above to fall down, the hunter takes aim, readying their shot on the deer closest to the tree, however just before taking the shot something spooks the deer from within the grass, causing one to jump up in the air, the hunter quickly re-adjusts their shot and hits the jumping deer with an arrow, before quickly readying another arrow as they approach the deer, wary as it might attack erratically at the hunter, the deer is motionless and the hunter lowers their bow taking their knife out and walks up to the deer cutting its neck, looking around to see what caused the deer to be spooked, noticing within the marshy ground footprints, made from a shoe of some kind.

The hunter heaves the deer over their body, despite the hunter's small size they seem to carry the deer with little trouble. Following the footprints we see the camera pan upwards showing smoke from a village in the distance, shifting to the village we see villagers dressed in similar attire to the hunter residing within, some children are seen chasing a strange chicken around the houses whilst an old woman is seen smoking a pipe near the fire providing warmth to the nearby houses, other villagers are seen conversing in the background and performing various tasks.

The children stop running however hearing sound coming from the grasses, hurrying over to the old lady, they point to where the grass is rustling to which the old lady makes a set of gestures to some men bringing wood from the forest in, they quickly head to a weapons storage structure and grab some spears and clubs to watch carefully for this intruder, suddenly from the grasses the figure appears, dressed in military fatigues the individual collapses immediately upon appearing from the grasses, seemingly out of exhaustion.

The men go to inspect the fallen figure checking to see if the soldier is dangerous, determining that the soldier is indeed unconscious they check the soldier for equipment, one finding a knife and the other finding a radio, chucking it away after determining it to be useless. With the contents of the soldier taken, the old lady indicates to the men to carry the soldier to one of the buildings, a large building with an entrance adorned in furs and bone, that seems to have significance among the tribesman as upon entering the men carrying the soldier bow their heads to an old man standing in front of a desk with various plants and animal parts about, crushing some up to form powders.

The old man looks up from his work and nods in acknowledgement of the men before walking over to a large stone table where the men place the soldier, the old man looks over the soldier, inspecting them for injuries noticing a strange marking on the soldier's neck appearing similar to a barcode.

Old Man: hɛu, iði ʒðð fɛr.

The old man gestures to the others to grab some herbs from the nearby table, pointing in particular to a strange green herb that has buds growing between its leaves. The men bring the herb over and the old man picks up a bowl from nearby with water in it, the man grinds the herb into the water and adds what appears to be salt to the mixture, taking the bowl and placing it onto a small fire allowing the water to boil.

Old Man: uðɒ, šeð ŋɫh, ŋið θnh fmr.

Time is shown to pass as the water boils, the hunter from earlier returns to the village, the time now being late into the afternoon as many of the villagers gather around a large fire where the hunter brings the deer from earlier as well as some other smaller animals he'd caught as food for the village. He brings the food into a tent where another man is seen carving up fish that had been caught to be cooked.

Butcher: ?hŋ ʒhŋ iɹʊ, hŋh ɛnh ɚʒr.

The hunter pauses as he places the food down, wondering about the individual.

Hunter: mŋŋ hɛm, ŋhʊ.

The hunter exits the tent, heading over to the old man's hut from earlier, entering he finds the old man seated along with the mysterious soldier whom seems to be conscious, although exhausted. The Hunter looks cautiously at the soldier, noticing several points of damage on them.

Hunter: mɨh?

Old Man: yyh, haɨ mhɨ hɨu.

The soldier, a bit dazed from the herbs and their injuries tries to understand what the two are saying, unable to determine what they're saying the soldier attempts to speak up.

Soldier ??: Uhh, where am I?

The hunter and old man turn to the soldier, unable to understand the language, they attempt to convey information with hand gestures. The hunter points to himself first, saying,

Hunter: mrr.

Then pointing to the old man and then the soldier stating,

Hunter: hrr.

The old man then points to himself repeating the process as the hunter did.

Old Man: mrr.

then pointing to the Hunter and Soldier.

Old Man: hrr.

The Soldier seeming to understand the indication of You and I from the Hunter and Old Man then conveys this to them, pointing to themself.

Soldier ??: Me.

Then pointing to the Hunter and Old Man.

Soldier ??: You

The Old Man ponders on the Soldier's language and then turns to the hunter seeming to discuss the language barrier between them.

Old Man: hʒɚ, “me” ðθə, ymh ŋhk ðh?

Hunter: yðɨ mhθ.

The Hunter and Old Man indicate to the Soldier to follow them out of the building, the three get up, though the soldier is a bit dazed they're able to stand and walk, albeit a bit slowly. The trio head out and the Hunter and Old Man pointing to various things around the village pausing to let the soldier respond so they can understand.

First the Old Man points to some other villagers

Old Man: hrr.

Soldier ??: People

The Old Man pauses to ponder, mentioning to the hunter,

Old Man: ɨʊŋ ivh hŋn ərr “you”.

The trio continue next to the butcher's hut, the Old Man pointing to the various animals they've caught.

Old Man: arr.

The Soldier instead points to individual animals they've caught listing them.

Soldier ??: ... Deer, Rabbit, Pheasant, Fish, Boar

The Old Man noticing the difference in their indication, walks over to the Boar and notes,

Old Man: arr iɛr.

The Soldier seems to notice the additional wording used for the Boar although can't determine what the Old Man is referring to, the trio then continue onwards with the old man pointing to the fire in the middle of the village.

Old Man: ɒrr.

Soldier ??: Fire.

For a while longer the trio continue going about the village denoting different things for their language, though not understanding a lot of it the Soldier seems to pick up some of the more physical letters used by the villagers, by the time they're finished wandering about the village night has fallen and the villagers along with the soldier gather around the fire in the village where the food from earlier in the day was caught.

After the dinner most of the villagers head off to sleep, though a few stay to watch guard whilst the Soldier looks out across the vast grassland that stretches to the South of the village, seeing far into the horizon the faint glow of another village. One of the villagers, a middle-aged woman whom tailors clothing for the villagers walks over to the soldier noticing her looking at the village.

Tailor: yðh, hiɨ ɨʊŋ, mšm ŋčz ahŋ ŋuč.

As the Tailor talks she points to a river that runs into the horizon pointing to the village at the end, then making motions with her hands to indicate collecting fruit and fish swimming in a stream, though a bit perplexed by what the Tailor is saying the Soldier attempts to discern.

Soldier ??: Hrr or θrr?

Tailor: Hyr.

Though still somewhat unsure on the words the Soldier figures the Tailor means the neighbouring village is friendly and seems to drift off over the course of the remainder of the night, in a conflicted state of mind.

The scene transitions to the next day where the soldier, having rested to allow their wounds to heal heads out to find that the villagers are gathered around a large crater situated between the two villages, going to look over the Soldier finds the elders from both villages dressed in traditional garb chanting around the strange white rock that had caused the crater to form.

As the chanting ends, the elders stand up and bow to one another before lifting the rock together and placing it onto a small stone table brought over by some of the young men, a very large villager with an axe walks up to the rock and readies the axe above his head, the elder gestures to the man and he swings the axe down cutting the white rock in half, the impressive strength the man exudes cleavering the rock perfectly, with an almost glass-like appearance on the inside. The elders then pick up each half and thank each other before the villagers all begin to head back.

Somewhat taken aback by the strange ritual, the Soldier takes the opportunity to investigate the crater as the craters odd-shape seems to have been ignored by the villagers, the crater itself appears to have formed cracks creating eight spires that jutt out along the ground where the rock crashed, sinking like fissures, investigating the crater's centrepoint the soldier finds a small white dust that appears to have originated from the rock, though its texture felt more like the dust that would accumulate in their home from way back when as opposed to the dust that forms from rocks being broken.

Leaving the dust be the soldier conitnues investigating, exploring one of the spires they find there to be a hole at the end of the spire with a small blinking nodule in it, picking it up the soldier sees it to be some sort of alien technology, unlike anything either their army of the enemy had developed and certainly unlike anything the villagers possessed, attached to the blinking light was a piece of gooey material, the soldier places the tech into one of their ammo pouches and heads back, curious to find out what the blinking light was.

Time passes and the Soldier is seen trying to converse with the Elder showing the piece of technology, the elder surprised by the strange light looks closely at it, suddenly he begins bellowing in laughter taking the Soldier outside he points to the night sky where the stars glimmer and then points back to the light nodule, seeming to think that it was one of the stars, the soldier a bit uneasy about the thought, takes the blinking nodule back and apologizes to the elder for wasting his time, the elder seems to feel no ill will towards the soldier however and once again invites them to dinner. The Soldier accepts and the two head to the fire in the middle of the village.

As the soldier sits down they notice that the white rock is perched within the fire, the villagers having already prepared their meals beforehand gaze upon the rock with awe, its reflective inside acting like a mirror allowing them to see their own faces. The Elder collects two bowls with a stew mix of venison and assorted greens and hands one of the bowls to the soldier, taking the bowl the soldier thanks the Elder as the two sit ready to eat. Just as they are seated however the blinking nodule within the Soldier's pocket begins emitting a high-frequency sound, though the Elder can't hear it the Soldier along with several of the younger villagers attempt to cover their ears from the sound, the sound seems to cause the half-rock to crack, eventually shattering into hundreds of pieces falling into the fire surprising the older villagers. Suddenly however the glob with the blinking nodule on it climbs out of the Soldier's pouch and leaps over into the fire, the rock and the nodule mix together taking shape as a figure stands within the fire, although very small.

???: Body Mass 50% recovered, Analyzing...

The small white creature, appearing with some technological implants stands within the fire as a beam comes out from one of its eyes, the villagers flinch in fear although as one of the beams passes over the villager nothing happens so the other villagers cautiously stand allowing the beam to pass them, the beam reaches the soldier, passing over them until it reaches their security number, causing the beam to change from a blue grid to a green laser focusing on the security number.

Soldier ??: Wait, you can speak?

???: Analysis complete, target found, recalling missing mass

Suddenly another high-frequency sound is heard this time causing an explosion in the neighbouring village as splinters of white rock fly towards the village where the Soldier is, the rock fuses with the creature causing it to become larger although overall ending up only slightly above two feet in height.

???: Body Mass 100% recovered, initiating reboot... psyche~

Soldier ??: W-What now?

???: Hey you, 97, yeah I'm talking to you! Wake up and listen here, my name's Slime, you got that, we've been looking for your species for a long time, alright so you better act good otherwise we'll have to punish you.

The face of the creature forms whilst it speaks creating a creepy grin from beneath the cybernetic mask it wears, taken aback Soldier 97 is shocked that this strange little creature knows her.

Soldier 97: Wait... how do you know who I am?

Slime: Well I scanned you, that little array wasn't for show you know, cost me a nerve ending that one, still not sure if I should've gotten it, I liked that nerve. Anyways that's not the point, we've been looking for your species for some time, thought you lot had gone extinct after the war that ravaged this planet although we lucked out with your innate hibernation kicking in.

Soldier 97: Who's "we" are there others like you?

Slime: Well there are others, but they're not exactly like me, I'm part of what you'd probably call and organization, we're looking for the best of the best, and since you seem to be the only one left of your species, that makes you what we're looking for.

Soldier 97: Wait what about the tribals then, they're the same species as me.

Slime: Ha! Wrong there, this lot, bunch of mutts as far as we're concerned, these tribals are just some slowpokes of a nomadic group of mutts, they got left here by their kindred years ago.

Soldier 97: Well, why would I want to go with you anyway, you just come out of the sky and destroy a village to find me, why should I trust you.

Slime: Oh trust me on this, you'd wish we hadn't found you, you're coming with me whether you want to or not, now that we've got a living survivor we can send this planet to kingdom come.

Soldier 97: I-I won't let you do that, you can't just destroy a planet because it doesn't have any use to you.

Slime: 97, do you even know what that war your kind fought for was going to end up doing? You vicious little animals were tearing this poor planet apart, it's lucky we intervened when we did otherwise there wouldn't be much of a planet left for us to destroy.

Soldier 97: You intervened in the war, but how, that was years ago!

Slime: Try millenia, that war was one of the first things we intervened in, was a messy job I'll tell you what, lost about 30% of the planet's wildlife in one day as a result, we can tell you all about the war if you want and these squatters and anything else really.

Soldier 97: No, I won't let that happen, I'm not going to let you complete your mission.

Soldier 97 reaches for her weapons belt and grabs the combat knife although just as she places her hand on the grip she feels a bit of the gooey substance on the hilt and recoils, part of Slime attached to the hilt tears the knife away from her and brings it back to Slime.

Slime: Yeah, that ain't happening, I've been looking for you for four months now, you aren't about to kill yourself that easily.

Slime then raises her right arm up firing off a Kinetic Blast that stuns Soldier 97 causing her to collapse, Slime then proceeds to attack the villagers, relentlessely mauling them as the few warriors try to fight off the alien creature. However none of them stand a chance and are eventually defeated. Slime then stands next to Soldier 97's collapsed body, looking rather triumphant amidst the destruction.

Slime: Alright get the co-ordinates I'm at, we got one, she'll prove useful for the future.

A light them surrounds Slime and Soldier 97 as they disappear before the destroyed village.

Several weeks pass and we see the ship that Slime was calling to drifting in space as Slime hops down from her pilot's seat and walks over to Soldier 97 who is lying on a table, her attire swapped to a standardized Doomuli Transfer Outfit (DTO) and a small implant located on the back of her skull.

Slime: Alright 97, wake up, the repairs should be done by now, the implant should've patched you into the Doomuli auditory channels, we've got to keep you on restricted access for the time being but once we get you back to HQ and install your other implants we'll give you full access.

Soldier 97 wakes up, sitting up she seems unnaturally calm, the implant on the back of her head flickering as her eyes attempt to adjust to the bright light of the ship interior, her vision initially blurred slowly clears.

Soldier 97: Slime, what's going on, why've you woken me up early?

Slime: Well I figured, while we're still en-route we'd get some formalities out of the way, we did a background check and your species didn't give you a name from which we can base your new name on so we had to check Multiversal Links and we found an alternate version of you that actually resides in this universe so we're using her name as a base, from now on you're no longer "Soldier 97" you're now "Doomulus Hematine".

Hematine pauses as Slime mentions the new name running it through her head, she nods in agreement.

Slime: Some other things to note, while there are a bunch of implants you're getting regardless since your intended for combat usage we want to know whether you want to do Recon, Direct Offensive, Defensive or Assist, usually we don't give the option but due to you being the last of your species we're going to need a blood sample anyhow so we felt it'd be good to give you the option, to be quite honest with you I'd go with Recon, I mean that's what I went with, it's got the least implants so its the least painful.

Hematine: What about the fifth option?

Slime: The fifth-hey wait a minute, you were snooping around my files weren't you?

Hematine lets a smirk slip, as Slime pouts in anger that Hematine was already acting underhandedly.

Slime: Well I didn't want to bring it up but if you really want the fifth option, you can take it, we'll need the blood sample first though then, since we'll be losing most of your organic matter as a result.

Hematine: Go right ahead, I know you've got a medical facility on board, we can do it now.

Slime becomes a bit uneasy at Hematine's demeanour.

Slime: That's alright Hematine, I think we'll uhh... just wait until we get back to HQ and let the medical staff do that.

Hematine: Aww, what's the matter Slime, you afraid of a little needle?

Slime: N-no, shut up, look just, after you're done with your implants, you and I are going to be working together for some time, they'll need to test your abilities before letting you go off on your own.

Hematine: Fine, well, see you around Slime.

Hematine lies back down and closes her eyes, Slime, creeped out by Hematine's behaviour heads back to the pilot seat pondering on what the future holds for her now that she'll have to deal with Hematine for a while. The camera then pans out to show the ship once more as it fades to black, ending the episode.
