Team Gemstones (known as チームジェムストーン or Gemstones Rescue Team in Japan) is the hugely anticipated first game in the Team Gemstones series. The game was developed by GemGames Co. and released for the Nintendo IC, Nintendo 3DS and Wii U worldwide in June 2012.
It is the first game developed by GemGames Co. and sees the debut appearance of their former company mascot character, Emerald the Sceptile.
The story follows Emerald as he, along with his friends Ruby and Sapphire set out to defeat an evil Lucario named Blaze, who has kidnapped Princess Grace and plans to takeover the planet. Team Gemstones travel through various locations on their quest, meeting many new friends and enemies alike.
The basic gameplay on single player is comparable to that of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series, in that all of Team Gemstones will be together, the player can switch between controlling the three characters, and the CPU will control the other two then. It is also similar to The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword in that the player is free to roam around, and the enemy battle system is very similar.

- Ocassionally, when the player is on single player and controlling Emerald or Sapphire, the CPU controlled Ruby will use the weight attached around his arm to hit enemies with.
- Team Pokéstrikers, from Fantendo - Playing War make a cameo appearance as one of the rescue teams visiting Haxorus Guild.
