Super Smash Keyboards 8 (大乱闘スマッシュキーボード8 Dairantō Sumasshu Kībōdo Hachi) is a 2.5D fighting game developed by Kyoto Driller and published by Namco. It is the 8th game in the main series, and was released into arcades in 2010 and to home consoles and handhelds in 2011.

The game takes place after the events of Super Smash Keyboards 7: The Armaggedon of King Empty Jay. Konata wanted to return to the Overworld to fight in the Super Smash Keyboards Tournament again.

Larry Laffer ModEdit

It took Larry Laffer's naughtiness to earn Super Smash Keyboards 8 a Teen rating, and we were not very happy about that.
Hideo Yoshikawa

About one month before the home console version of Super Smash Keyboards 8 was released, a modder from Shanghai, China created a mod known as the Larry Laffer Mod, which enabled the character Larry Laffer from the controversial Leisure Suit Larry to be playable. As a result, the game was temporarily re-rated Teen by the ESRB, but the character was removed in the final version. The game's rating was re-rated Everyone 10+ after.
