Stage

The stage is set on a seaside island. On that island, the lighthouse, Shantae’s home, can be seen. A dock platform can be seen at the end (to the right) connected the main island platform. There’s also a body of water that can be swam in after that. At times mermaid-like creatures hop out of the water to attack fighters on the stage. Also at times, Risky Boots and her crew pass by the island laucnhing cannonballs at fighters. In the background, a very large body of water can be seen as well as another island. The stage also transitions from day to night. At night, a very large moon can be seen in the background.

Midgaris a new stage appearing in Super Smash Bros. V. It is based off the location in Final Fantasy VII.

Stage

The basic layout of the stage consists, like Battlefield, of a main platform with three overhanging soft platforms in a triangle formation; however, the stage is slightly larger.

Summon Materia occasionally floats around the stage and stops in a random location with a flash. If then touched by a character, a monster is summoned with greatly disruptive effects.

  • Ifrit: uses Hellfire (Called Inferno by Masahiro Sakurai during the Final Video Presentation). A huge flame erupts randomly under the middle of the stage, raising it, under one of its sides, heavily tilting it to the side, or from one of the lateral blast line, pushing the stage towards the other. Contact with the main body of the flame deals 26%, while contact with its weaker parts deals 1% with no knockback. The summoner is immune.
  • Ramuh: uses Judgment Bolt. The three floating platforms are electrified and their arrangement changes to another random one. The three platforms then, one by one, randomly glow and get electrified again. After all three have undergone this process they return to their original position. Contact with an electrified platform deals continuous damage, up to 21% before getting launched. The summoner is immune.
  • Odin: uses Zantetsuken. Odin slices through the stage with his sword, splitting the main platform and the top floating platform in half. Characters hit by the attack, except the summoner, in the attack receive 100% damage, and in most cases, are OHKOed. While the stage is split, its inner ledges can be grabbed. The stage pulls itself back together after a while, crushing and OHKOing any character, summoner included, caught between the two halves or hanging from the inner ledges.
  • Leviathan: uses Tsunami. The entire arena is flooded, making the main platform surf across a huge body of water. A strong current pushes swimming characters to the left: getting slammed into the right side of the stage deals 9% damage or, if the character is over 100%, an instant KO. The summoner is susceptible to the current and the slam damage, but not to the instant KO.
  • Bahamut ZERO: Attacks with a devastating Teraflare, which destroys the city in the background and creates a damaging pillar of light on the stage. Getting caught in the beam deals continuous damage, up to 39%. The summoner is immune.

In the 5+-player version of the stage, no summoned monsters appear. If the game is paused in Training Mode, all summon effects are paused but the rest of the action keeps going.

Ω Omega Version (Final Destination Version)

The Omega Version of the stage is simply the main platform without the 3 other platforms.

α Alpha Version (Battlefield Version)

The Alpha Version with is basically the original stage without the summon materia appearing.

Opera House is a new stage appearing in Super Smash Bros. V. It is based off the large room where Aqua is seen dancing.

Stage

The stage is set on a circular red platform on a body of very shallow water that can be walked on. There are smaller platfroms based on the main red one on each end of the red platform in the air. There stage also has walk-offs. In the background various balconies and such can be seen. Also, Aqua can be seen dancing while battle is ongoing. Occasionally, she'll kneel and place her hands on her knees. Various Hoshido and Nohr units also make a special appearance on the stage (watching Aqua's dancing) depending on the time of day. From 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, instead of Azura dancing, a battle between Hoshido and Nohr can be seen in the background. Every once in a while a large Chandelier will fall from the ceiling above slamming down onto the red platform damaging fighters. After a while it magically repairs itself and goes back up only to come crashing down later on. The fighter's reflections can be seen on the platform and the water.

Ω Omega Version (Final Destination Version)

The Omega Version of the stage is simply the main platform with an oval-like shape hovering in the air in the same room. On the bottom surface of the platform a large chandelier similar to the one that falls is seen. Aqua can be seen in the background dancing on a higher platform surrounded by a waterfall.

α Alpha Version (Battlefield Version)
