Decidueye is a Default/Starter Character in Super Smash Bros. Obliteration. A Grass/Ghost type Pokemon known as the "Arrow Quill" Pokemon, Decidueye has a keen eye and dead-on accuracy with arrows. It is the evolved form of Dartrix and the final evoloution of the Grass Starter Pokemon of the Alola Region Rowlet. Decidueye is well camouflaged to its surrondings, and can easily sneak up on and then attack opponents by masking its prescense. Decidueye will panic if startled, Its Arrows can travels to the locations of opponents within milliseconds of being launched. Fast, Stealthy, and Accurate to a pinpoint with its arrows, Decidueye is ready to keep shooting its targets all the way to the top of the Mountain of Smashers. Armed with a moveset based around, Wing, Jab, Headbutt and Arrow Attacks, Decidueye is ready to snipe any opponent who crosses it, in a true fight for the ages. 


Attacks[]

Type Name Damage Description
Neutral (Wing = 3%, Talon 1 = 5%, Talon 2 = 7, Total = 15%). A three strike attack. First is swipe of the wing, and then two talon-swipe kicks.
Forward Tilt (10%) Kicks forward with its talons open. This stuns the opponent as Decidueye closes its talons, launching the opponent,
Up Tilt (2.1% = hits 1-4, 8.4% = total) Throws its head upward, hitting opponents with the beak 4 TImes,
Down Tilt (8%) Sweeps its wing across the ground,
Forward Smash (Half Charged, = 7%, Fully Charged = 16%). Swipes its wings in a forward/diagonal direction at an opponent.
Up Smash (Wing 1 = 4%, Wing 2 = 7%, Total = 11%) Claps Its Wings Above Itself, Between Opponents.
Down Smash (5% = Wing 1, 8% = Wing 2, Total = 13%). Slams Its Wings Along The Ground Towards Its Side.


Aerial Attacks[]

Type Name Damage Description
Neutral Feather Dance (7% = Hit 1, 8% = Hit 2, 15% = Total). This is Decidueye’s only non-projectile aerial. He holds out his bladed wings to the side and completes a spin. Holding the attack before release results in more spins and the ability to slightly control horizontal movement during the attack.
Forward Razor Leaf (10%). Fires a sharp leaf arrow at a downward diagonal. Decidueye pulls back on his winged bow as the move is charged which results in a stronger shot.
Back (8%)  The owl turns his head over a shoulder and retches up lunch in a downward arching spew of bones and skulls. Of course, the longer the attack is charged, the more bones find their way out of Decidueye’s stomach. This unconventional attack hits multiple times and has a slight meteor effect, 
Up Spore (4% = Initial, 6% = Peak, Total = 10%). Shoots a seed directly above. The seed goes a short distance before shedding its shell and becoming a harmless white puff. But if the seed makes contact with an enemy there is an explosion of spores, which has high vertical knockback (a reference to Ivysaur’s Up Air and Up Smash from Brawl). This is a

kill move.

Down (13%)  Fires a beam of light formed as an arrow directly downwards. A long-range attack that does decent damage at the cost of almost no knockback. However, the beam of light causes a ring of splash damage if it collides with the ground, which does result in sending opponents flying. The charged shot does more damage and has minor horizontal knock-back from the beam and better horizontal knock-back explosion upon the ground. Used correctly, this is a kill opportunity.

Floor Attack (Trip) (6%) Whacks Its Wings In Both Forward/Back Directions, Near The Ground.
Ledge Attack Performs a Headbutt While Climbing Up.
Dash Attack (8% = clean, 6% = late) Does a flying kick while Charging Across the Stage.


Grabs/Throws[]

Grab (N/A)
Pummel (1.2%) Tigthens Its Talon's Grip, A Moderately Fast Pummel.
Forward (6%, Throw = 3%, Total = 9%). Hits the opponent, then puches them forward with its wings.
Back (Arrow = 8% Throw = 3%, Total = 11%) Throws the opponent behind itself, then follows it with an arrow attack.
Up (Arrow = 4%, Throw = 2%, Total = 6%). Throws the opponent upwards, then follows it up with an arrow attack.
Down (5% = Hit 1, 4% = Throw, 9% = Total). Throws the opponent downwards, then shoots an arrow at the opponent. 


Taunts[]

Up Taunt = Shoots an Arrow In The Air While Crying that no one is challenging it.

Side Taunt = Flaps Its Wings yelling, DECIDUEYE!!!

Down Taunt = Pretends To Sleep Out of Boredom.


Special Moves[]

Type Name Damage Description
Neutral Special Spirit Dhackle (3% = Uncharged, 7% = Half Charged, 12% = Fully Charged Much like Link's Champions Bow, holding "B" will cause Decidueye to pull back on his "bow string" gaining power as he does. releasing "B" will have Decidueye fire his arrow this arrow's speed and distance depends on how long it was charged- if it strikes an enemy it will loop around them then slam into them from above with an explosion of ghostly energy that delivers a meteor effect. if this happens on the ground at full charge Spirit Shackle will stun the foe as if in shield break.
Side Special Leaf Blade (3% = first slash 5% = Second Slash, 7% = Third Slash, 13% = Total). Decidueye's wings will glow green and he perform a slash with one wing, which can be followed up by two more hits with further presses of "B". this move works similar to Marth's Dancing Blade. each slash is progressively more powerful than the last. Leaf blade also creates a green energy-like slash in front of Decidueye giving it better reach than Marth's Dancing Blade.
Up Special Brave Bird (13%). Decidueye takes off into the air very quickly and performs a 270 degree loop cloaking itself in a golden aura it blasts forward at a high speed. If Decidueye strikes foe it will recoil off the foe as the foe is sent flying with high knock back. if Decidueye uses Brave Bird and strikes a platform during its loop, it will cause a slight explosion dealing itself DMG- but if a direction is held during the explosion Decidueye will rocket out of the explosion still veiled in the golden aura allowing for a follow up brave bird attack, or allowing Decidueye to get some distance.
Down Special (Punch 1 = 5%, Punch 2 = 7%, Total = 12%). Decidueye Launches a Lightning Quick Pair of Punches after drawing up disarmingly to the foe.



Final Smash[]

Final Smash Sinister Arrow Raid (12% = per arrow) Decidueye will swoop forward and deliver a powerful kick to foes he touches this will kick them into a cut scene where they tumble to the ground and Decidueye soars upwards surrounded by Z-Energy Decidueye extends his wings creating many arrows in an arch surrounding him. Decidueye then flies at the screen, the arrows following not far behind. the camera follows Decidueye as he dives downward, the arrows spiral in a tail behind him- the camera pans close to Decidueye as the arrows catch up to him. the camera cuts back to a disoriented foe who struggles to get up Decidueye is shown once more a gleam sparks in his eye as the camera cuts back to the foe who now sees the on coming danger. Swooping through the foe leaving a trail of ghostly energy Decidueye swoops upward after the strike dealing initial DMG as the arrows rain down around the foe before unleashing a huge explosion dealing massive DMG and knock back as Decidueye lands in the foreground and the cut scene ends sending foes flying. Decidueye re-enters fighter stance.
