Super Smash Bros. Memories is a Super Smash Bros. game for the Wii U and 3DS. It is the fifth game overall and also an anniversary for the Nintendo Franchise. Memories just like "4" has two different versions but don't cross-play. Memories for the Wii U focuses on newer franchises while the 3DS version focuses on more of the arcade and old school games. The Only characters who will be in both versions is Mario, Princess Peach, Samus Aran, Link, Kirby and Pikachu.

The story mode is somewhat similar to the Subspace Emissary but involves a different plot that has been compared to games such as, Sonic Generations.

|Mario is back again for another installment of Super Smash Bros., This time he comes in two versions with TWO different movesets. Mario is said to be the most balanced of the characters.||Link re-appears next to Mario as one of the few Nintendo CHaracters to appear in both games. In both versions he has untamable strength. In Memories for 3DS he is a fast and agile character but for the Wii U he is slowed down and is considered a heavy weight now.|

He can use his Blaster to do damage to enemies without stopping them from their actions.||Like Link, Samus has a slow pace and a heavy center of gravity along with powerful attacks. After using her Phazon Suit, she becomes Zero Suit Samus for the rest of the match.|

- Mr. Game & Watch- A Kirby with Mr. G&W's power was seen to be fought in Butter Building of story mode, in addition, a shadow Mr. Game & Watch is fought in the Underworld.
- Sora- A shadow of what resembles like Sora from the Kingdom Hearts series is fought in the Underworld.
- Klonoa-When playing on the underworld map on story mode some wahoo noises can be heard at the biggining, once you get to the end you will see him and and the bosses he then talks to you which translates to defeat them now!
