The story mode for Super Smash Bros. Conquest
Tournament of Smash[]
Mario, Peach, Yoshi, Kirby, Pikachu, Link, Zelda, Little Mac, Pit, Samus and Palutena are all in a stadium. Peach, Zelda and Palutena are spectating, while the other 8 are about to fight. Palutena announces that the fight is about to begin and the crowd cheers.

After winning the match your character does a victory pose, accompanied by the cheers of the crowd. You go around freeing your foes from their Trophies when a hole opens up in the ground. Intrigued, everyone looks down the hole (which is growing) until a Zero Reactor flies out and positions itself in midair above the hole. A blue blast of energy comes out, knocking Mario, Yoshi and Little Mac into the hole. Samus's Power Suit glows blue before disappearing, revealing Zero Suit Samus. The girls jump down the spectator's stand and Zelda gestures to Link and the two jump down the hole after the three who fell. Blue entities who resemble the 6 remaining fighters emerge from the Zero Reactor and you then engage in a battle.

Now the platform is broken into two. Enemies emerge from the Zero Reactor above the gap and you can stand on that too. |

When that is done, Palutena, Pit, Zero Suit Samus, Peach and Little Mac begin talking about what to do with the Zero Reactor. The camera pans down to the hole.

Exploring The Abyss[]
Captain Toad is seen mining in a dark cave. He wipes sweat from his brow and keeps digging.
Mario, Yoshi and Little Mac are seen on the ground as trophies in the darkness. A light approaches and Link and Zelda are shown walking toward the three, Zelda using magic to light the way. They stand by them until they hear a growl. Link charges at the beast which turns out to be Bowser.

After defeating the Koopa King, he grabs Yoshi and Little Mac's trophies and runs away. Zelda frees Mario and hurriedly explains the situation, before the trio pursue Mario's nemesis.
