|Super Smash Bros. Comet|
|Platform(s)||Wii U, Nintendo Comet|
|Series||Super Smash Bros.|
It's intended to serve as somewhat of a pair game to Fantendo Smash Bros. Comet, and the two will have some form of compatibility.
The game has been rebooted as Super Smash Bros. One.
The game will take a considerable reimagining of the Super Smash Bros. franchise, involving three defining factors.
- Stages are now three-dimensional. Players can still play in 2D if they choose.
- They are far more open world such that it is possible to "hide" from opponents. Players can turn this off.
- The game will feature somewhat of a story mode involving completing missions or mini-quests.
But the classic fighting mode that's in the previous Super Smash Bros. titles will still be there, of course. Ignoring the new features, the gameplay will be quite similar to the past titles, having some new modes, too.
Two modes are initially confirmed. The amount of modes is not limited to these two.
The roster will feature a total of twenty characters. Many characters from Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U have been cut, leaving only eighteen veterans and a grand total of two newcomers.
There are eight default characters.
There are twelve unlockable characters.
