Released for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, both versions have different stages and characters similarly to the upcoming fourth installment. The Wii U version is known as "the NES version" and the 3DS version is known as "the Game Boy version".
Super Smash Bros. Classic plays similarly to the other games on the series. It is a 4-player Mascot fighter, with each character having a damage meter instead of a health bar. The damage meter fills up, and the more it have, the more the character will be knocked longer. The objective is to knoch the character far away from the blast line. Each character have four special moves which can be triggered by an easy button combination (special attack button + a direction - ex: B + >).
The fighters can also use items to help them, items can be used on offense or defense, each item has a special gimmick to it. Also each stage has a special gimmick on it as well.
