Super Mario Universes is an MMORPG set in the Mushroom Kingdom. It takes place 2 years after Super Mario: The Mushroom Wars Expansion Pack. (I know this is a lot like WoW. Please don't criticize me for that.)

Two years after the second war between the Koopa Troop and the Mushroom Kingdom, the tides began to change. The Koopa Troop began to amass their army, in case they were attacked or they needed to fight once again. Bowser had the Koopalings executed, as they were terrible commanders during both of the wars. Bowser Jr., however, remained at Bowser's side.

The Mushroom Kingdom had won the war, but at a cost: many of their lands had been destroyed, countless Toads and Yoshis had fallen in battle, and the Mario brothers went missing after the attack on Bowser's castle. The kingdom decided to prepare their army, as the nearby lands were needing to rebuild. Peach had assigned Toad to lead the military, while Yoshi was named High Chieftain of the Yoshi Tribes, angering his brother. Still, he kept his feelings quiet.

As both sides begin to rebuild, a mysterious threat manipulates them. Fawful has established a small army, and seeks to manipulate the Mushroom Kingdom and the Koopa Troop into fighting one-another.

Races and Classes

When making a character, they must either be part of the Mushroom Kingdom or the Koopa Troop. You cannot trade or talk with the other side, and you can attack them if you want to PvP.

In addition to choosing a race, you must also choose a class. Each class can fill one or more of these roles:

Tank: The tank protects the other players from monsters and draws their attention. Warriors and Shamans can tank.

Healer: Self-explanatory. Shamans and Priests can heal.

Damage Dealer: Damage-dealers deal damage to the enemy, and are the most simple role to fill. Any class can fill this role, though Mages, Archers, and Rogues are notable because they are dedicated to the task.

Class Name Description Available Roles Armor type Available weapons
Warrior Warriors charge head-first into battle, protecting their allies or harming their enemies.  Tank and Damage Dealer. Heavy Swords, Axes, Hammers, Daggers, and Spears.
Mage Mages stay at range, casting spells to harm their enemies, or to help their allies fight harder. Damage Dealer. Light Staves.
Shaman A hybrid class, Shamans can fill any role. Whether it's charging at their enemies, healing their allies, defending their allies, or casting spells, the Shaman can do it all. Tank, Healer, and Damage Dealer. Medium Axes, Hammers, Staves, Daggers, and Spears.
Priest The Priest is typically seen as a healing class, since it possesses many kinds of healing spells. However, they can smite their enemies and tear their souls apart with magic. Healer and Damage Dealer. Light Staves.
Archer Archers typically use ranged weapons and marksmanship to harm their enemies. Damage Dealer. Medium Bows, Crossbows, and Muskets.
Rogue The Rogue is a dirty fighter, backstabbing their enemies and coating his weapons in poison. It can turn invisible, and then ambush enemies. Damage Dealer. Light Daggers.
