Super Mario RPG: An Error in DIY is a role-playing game for the Mario series. It is also a crossover with the Sonic and The Legend of Zelda series, marking the role-playing return for Sonic and the role-playing debut for Link. The console hasn't been decided, though...
In the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario, Luigi, Wario, Waluigi, Yoshi, and Princess Peach were heading off to Kero Sewers to investigate the Flood Room behind Belome's room. However, there was a tremor, and they saw an island soar straight across the Mushroom Kingdom! Peach immediately recognised it as Isle Delfino, as did Mario and Yoshi, and they were concerned about the Piantas.
Meanwhile, Professor Elvin Gadd had been recently contacted by "Fan Anonymous" from the Real World regarding a device easier to use than Action Replay. However, Gadd had just finished it when the tremor occured, at which point he dropped it, smashing it. The tremor bounced it upwards, but Gadd epicly failed at catching it, and it smashed further, quite beyond even the most ultimate repair(which, ironically, could only be done by him!). He then received an e-mail from Mario, mentioning Isle Delfino soaring overhead, with this link to a video showing what happened. He was outraged by this and destroyed his recently finished invention that he received the e-mail on, the Ultimate Virus Stomper! Then he started crying, thinking of all the data on it. Luckily, he was able to repair it, but the files containing games had been lost. The repair had taken 3 hours, and Gadd then read a recently shown notification mentioning the exact same type of tremor in Hyrule...
"Gee, it sure is boring around here." Link would usually say. King Harkinian took a sip of wine from his goblet before saying, "My boy, this peace is what all true warriors strive for." Then, another tremor occured, as all residents of Hyrule, Koridai, and Gamelon saw Isle Delfino fly overhead! Link, looking out the window, said, "Gee, a dolphin shaped island!" before the King said "My boy, don't break the fourth wall, Hyrule doesn't have dolphins!" Link became a smartarse by saying, "You just broke the fourth wall by knowing about a fourth wall!" The King then raised hs goblet to his mouth but he looked and there was no wine! As he called for the royal bartender he said, "Link, investigate where that island came from and when you're done with that, go to your room." Link turned to his door and said, "Fine, jeez."
