Super Mario Garden is a 2.5D Mario platformer that takes place in the Wooded Kingdom. The game is developed with the assistance of Nightcap Devs. for the Nintendo Switch.

Plot[]

Opening[]

One night in the Steam Gardens, the gardeners are preparing the flowers and the plants for a ceremony hosted by Princess Daisy. They all decide to call it a night and head back to their facility.

As they return however, a weird object can be seen flying above the kingdom. This object turns out to be the flying saucer known as Torkdrift. As it's flying above the Steam Gardens, it absorbs all of the flowers that are in his sight. The camera then zooms in on a feminine silhouette on top of Torkdrift.

The next day, Mario, Luigi, Toad and Daisy arrive at the Steam Gardens to inspect the garden for the ceremony. However, they then notice that most of the flowers are gone. As they're exploring the area, they run into a few panicking Steam Gardeners. One of the gardeners tells them that he saw a saucer floating above the kindom and it took all of the flowers. Sounding a bit familiar, Mario and co. waste no time exploring the kingdom in order to find the flowers.

After the rematch[]

Torkdrift returns at the end of the 8th world and wants a rematch.

SMOCutscene1

Wendy's ship closing in on the mountain with Torkdrift.

After the rematch, Torkdrift will fly away while a ship closes in on the mountain. Mario and co. take a closer look at the ship and notice a familiar face on it. A shadow exits the ship and lets out a feminine laugh. This shadow turns out to be Wendy O. Koopa. She reveals that she is planning to turn the Wooded Kingdom into her own kingdom and that she wants to use the flowers in combination with her magic to brainwash the residents. She then lets out another laugh before slowly flying towards the moon with Torkdrift. Pom Pom then jumps out of the ship and starts throwing bombs towards Mario and co. The explosion ends up sending them flying off the mountain. Mario and co. land inside a dark cave and start looking around.

Finding a Long-Lost Person[]

After making their way through a couple levels, the heroes hear a voice behind a wall of rocks. After finding a way to destroy the rocks, they see an old man chatting with a bunch of Piranha Plants. This old man introduces himself as Professor Kogenstein and mentions that he's the one who invented the Steam Gardeners. Mario and co. explain what's going on outside and as thanks for freeing him, Professor Kogenstein starts building some saucers that can help them get into space and chase down Wendy.

Mario and Co. then hear a familiar roar and head towards the direction of the sound. After getting past a couple of levels, they see the King of Koopas himself, Bowser.

Entering Space[]

After bowser falls in a bottomless pit,the hidden cave starts to collapse. Mario and co., alongside Professor Kogenstein, quickly head towards the saucers in order to escape the collapsing cavern. Once their out of the cavern, Mario and Co. start flying towards the moon. They then exit their planet's atmosphere and enter the final world of the game, Drift Space.

The Final Boss[]

After Making their way through Drift Space, Mario and his allies arrive at a dome Wendy built.

SMGBlossomBowserCutscene

Wendy using her magic to transform Bowser

Wendy is standing next to a cherry blossom tree with a collapsed Dry Bowser. Wendy then uses her magic to summon some petals from the tree. Wendy will then merge the petals with Bowser, which causes a pink explosion that knocks out of the dome. Once the explosion clears up, Mario and co. hear a loud roar. They look infront of them and see the final boss of the game, Blossom Bowser.

The Boss is Defeated[]

Once Blossom Bowser's health bar reaches 0, he will shrink and transform into the regular Bowser. Bowser will start plummeting back to earth while Mario and his allies follow him. Once they re-enter the earth's atmosphere, they hit a petal on their ships and speed forward until they reach the place where the ceremony is held. Mario and co. Look around. All the Steam Gardens are happy because they can finally celebrate and because they finally reunited with their long lost inventor. Mario and co. smile before grabbing a confetti launcher and firing a bunch of flower petals. As everyone around Mario and Co. start cheering, the game cuts to the credits where Mario and the others can be seen celebrating with the Steam Gardeners and the Professor.

Epilogue[]

After the credits, Wendy can be seen flying around while groaning in frustration because her plan failed. She then sees Bowser in a crater created by his impact. Bowser's body is covered in ashes because of how fast he fell into the atmosphere. Wendy uses her magic to heal him and wake him up. As Bowser regains his sense, Wendy keeps commenting on how angry she is that her plan failed and that Bowser knocked her out of the dome. She then starts to walk away while pouting. Bowser then looks at the camera and shrugs before following her back home.
