Cardma decides to teach everyone what it's like and says a magical chant. Mario, Luigi and Your Mii start to get sucked in, with Mario and Luigi becoming cards. Your Mii hangs on the end of the card and climbs back up, cowering in fear. Cardma sees the cowering Mii and is amused, almost to the point of laughter. Cardma taunts the Mii, swoops in and takes the cards before Your Mii has the chance to grab them. Cardma disappears and relieves the Mii, Your Mii looks down and sees an empty card. Your Mii picks up the blank card and ponders what to do with it, at that moment, a Goomba charges at the Mii. The Mii runs off to get his friends.

Right after leaving, Bowser flies in and knows that the Mii is for Peach. Bowser smirks and shows an Ultra Rare Princess Peach card, angering the Mii, they demand Peach back and Bowser sarcastically says that he's so scared of a cowardly Mii. The Mii charges at Bowser, yelling for Peach.

King Boo reveals himself and says that his time of following the Mii has paid off. King Boo steals all of your Ghost Cards, the only cards that are effective against ghosts and cackles, waking the Mii. The Mii realises that some of his cards are missing, and leaves his tent. The Mii looks at his cards and realises that his Ghost Cards are missing. The Mii's amulet from Miitopia and Miitopia 2: A New Curse starts glowing and surprises the Mii. The god inside turns all his cards into ghost cards and encourages the Mii. The Mii charges at King Boo, determined to defeat him and take his Legendary Luigi card.
Rescuing Mario[]
Mario reaches Cardma in Card Castle, where he's twisting a One-of-A-Kind Mario Card. Your Mii charges through the door and demands that Cardma give his friend back. Cardma looks at Your Mii's cards and cackles, saying that they'll "Make the match even" and duplicates Your Mii's cards. Cardma picks them all up and tells the Mii to give it their best shot. Your Mii charges at Cardma, saying he cannot lose.
Ending[]
Cardma gasps and drops all his cards on the floor, including his Mario card. Your Mii picks up the Mario card and laughs, before realising he has no idea how to free them. In a fit of rage, Cardma growls and says a magical language, trying to entrap Your Mii, before they can finish, Your Mii notices that a symbol around his neck is glowing, Your Mii quickly steals the necklace and banishes Cardma into a card once again. Your Mii says a random enchantment and drops the necklace after it vibrates, breaking the necklace. The magic is gone and all the cards glow, and in a flash of light they all turn into normal. All the enemies trudge away, confused, while the heroes exclaim in wonder. Mario and Luigi high-five Your Mii and leave, while Peach stays behind. Peach says that she owes the Mii a great debt and Your Mii remarks that he can no longer keep track of how many people said that. Peach chuckles and walks off, your Mii laughs and runs after them, winking at the screen.
Gameplay[]
Levels[]
The over world is similar to Candy Crush or the Classic Mode in Super Smash Bros. 3DS. There are 10-15 levels in a world, once you complete a level, you get a path onto the next level, and so on. There is no path before the fight, it's just get into the level, fight an enemy, leave the level and move on to the next level. There are 5 worlds in Super Mario Card Battle, Yoshi Hills, Sarasaland, Mushroom Kingdom, Haunted Plains and Card Castle.
Battles and Cards[]
There are many different enemies and cards in this game. There are 6 different types of cards: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Ultra Rare, Legendary and One-of-A-Kind. One-of-A-Kind is only held by one character card: Mario. The battles are almost like turn-based RPG's but with cards, each card has two attacks and some have healing abilities, once a card is gone, it's GONE! It's like Final Fantasy, once a teammates dead, it's dead. To balance it out, the character cards: Mario Luigi, etc. have crazy health. In a battle, there is a help holder, which is similar to the Safe Spot in Miitopia. In the Help Holder, the Mii puts the card in his pocket, which then slowly heals the card as time goes on. On the cards, instead of looking at the heart meter to see how much health you get, after a quarter of health goes down, the cards tear, after the health is gone, the card rips in half.
