Super Mario Bros. Revolution 2: Knights of the Mushroomy Table (Japan: 素晴らしいマリオ兄弟商会革命2: マッシュルームテーブルのナイト, Super Mario Bros. Revolution 2: Knights of the Mushroom Table) is the sequel to Super Mario Bros. 2010 made by EEA Inc. for the Nintendo Wii, like the prequel. It is based on King Arther and the knights of the round table.

Gameplay

The gameplay with be very similar to Sonic and the Black Knight's gameplay but is still a 2D Platformer like the first game. Mario and Luigi run around though different worlds, fighting Bowser's armed enemies with their swords and shields in story mode. Swinging the Wii Remote makes the character slash their sword. The Wii Remote and Nunchuk must both be used when playing in story mode. The old moves like jumping and ground pounding (just to name a few) return but punching and kicking are replaced with the sword and shield moves. In battle mode, the screen can be split into four, letting up to four players battle in the selected battle stadium based on places in the Mario series. The enemies and set up are about the same as the first game only there are more enemies and the sets are more medieval than the last game. The mushrooms, warp pipes, and other classic Mario things are still reused in the game though. The game also features online play where up to four players can battle online with other players in which they have exchanged friend codes with. Like the first game, the sequel has a 3D version of Mario Bros. only this time, Mario uses a sword to destroy enemies.

Story

After Mario and Luigi save Princess Peach from Bowser (in the elements of Super Mario Bros. 2010), Peach dubs Mario and Luigi knights of the Mushroom Kingdom. Wario and Waluigi want to become knights too. After all, they did help the Mario bros. save Peach. After the knight ceremony, Mario, Luigi, Wario, and Waluigi were asked to join the Knights of the Mushroomy Table, the Toads. To the bros' surprise, Toadette was the instructor for the knights, since Toadsworth was to old to teach anymore. Mario and Luigi's first test was to go on an adventure to the top of Flowerburn Mountain and bring the fire sword, Excaliburn back to the Mushroom Kingdom before Bowser and his minions steal it. Mario and Luigi were also sent a Yoshi named Yoshield that would appear in Yoshi Eggs to help them along the way. However, Bowser's youngest son, Bowser Jr. overheard the plan and went and told the old Koopalings as well as Bowser himself. Mario, Luigi, Wario, and Waluigi left before Princess Peach and the other Toads alert Mario and co. about Bowser. In each of the nine worlds, Mario battled and beat each of the seven Koopalings (as well as Bowser Jr.) and came to Flowerburn Mountain. Bowser however, had got there first and had stolen Excaliburn and used it as a weapon against Mario. however, after a long hard battle, Mario and co. beat Bowser and sent him running. Mario took the powerful sword back to Princess Peach and the Kingdom was restored. Just then, Toadette run up to Mario and told him that she had another adventure ready for him.
