Super Mario 99 2 is the sequel to Super Mario 99. It is highly focused on Bowser's act of taking every last Power Star. Super Mario 99 2's courses each have 6 stars, with an extra "Coin Collector" star, totaling seven. From all 24 courses and the 12 castle's secret stars, the total amount of Stars is 180. The Starfall Realm is also set to appear.

Mario Mario has all-around stats and can fly the fastest when using the Wing Feather. He is playable from the start of the game. Defealt
Yoshi Yoshi can not attack, but can swallow enemies with his tounge and turn them into eggs at will. Like Mario, he is playable at the start of the game. Defealt
Luigi Luigi is the second highest jumper in the game. He is also the fastest, but lacks power. Rescue him in King Boo's Mansion after defeating King Boo.
Wario The game's slowest character, Wario lacks jumping skills, his power stats are through the roof. Rescue him in Rocky Ruins after defeating Wiggler.
Waluigi Waluigi is the game's tallest character, he can also jump the highest and is the game's second fastest character. He will team up with you after meeting with him at the beginning of Chapter 5.

Items and Collectables

Name Description
Power Star The power source of the castle, Mario and his friends must recollect them from Bowser before it's too late.
Silver Star If the player collects five of these in the Starfall Realm, a Power Star will appear in the real world.
Coin An average collectable, collecting 100 makes a Power Star appear, also refills life by one.
Red Coin Worth 2 coins, collecting all 8 in a course makes a Power Star appear.
Blue Coin Worth 5 coins.
Bricks Contain many things - usually Mushrooms and Coins.
Black Bricks Same as a normal Brick, but only Wario can break them. They can also contain Power Stars.
Red Mushroom Makes the character very large for a short time.
Green Mushroom Gives the player an extra life.
Wing Feather Let's the player fly to great heights for 90 seconds. (Found in Red ? Blocks)
Metal Mushroom Turns the player into metal, giving them the ability to walk (and breathe) underwater, not lose damage from toxic gases, walk in lava, and is invincible. The effect lasts for 30 seconds (Found in Green ? Blocks)
Vanish Flower Makes the player invisible for 40 seconds, allowing them to run through special walls and cages and cannot be damaged from enemies. (Found in Blue ? Blocks)
Shell The player can ride this to be able to knock out enemies simply by running into them.
