Super Mario: Tattered Darkness is a small saga of games developed by MysterE Games and published by Nintendo. It was made in response to customers claiming Nintendo's quality was declining. Five out of the six games are 3D games, with one being a 2.5D game. The games are notable for maintaining continuity between them, such as: Reffering to previous games, and foreshadowing future games. Unlike most Mario games, they mostly have a huge story. The first game, Yoshi's Grand Island, was released on Valintines Day of 2015, whereas the sixth and final game, Super Mario Domain, is set for release in December of 2018.
The first game in the Tattered Darkness saga and fourth in the Yoshi's Island series. It's gameplay is like that of previous Yoshi games, but put into a 3D format. It also includes many fruits such as the flagilent fruit or the drill pepper. It's plot revolves around the arrival of a great Golden Egg on the Grand Island. Then, Bowser steals the light bulb thats incubating it, the Omega Orb, and plans to use it to incubate his own evil dark egg. It's up to Yoshi to stop him!
