Virus Infection is the 4th episode of the Super Mario: Dimension Journey (TV Show). It aired on Fantendo on the 9th of Decemeber, 2016.
Story[]
Mario, Luigi, Wario and Waluigi arrive at the hub house and notice that Miyuki invited one of her friends over to visit the Collaboration Dimension. It happens to be Konata, and she is playing an OnlineRPG which Grounder and Plankton is playing (on the same server). Mario greets her and also Luigi scares her from his floating cloths whilst invisible (this also results in Mario punching him senseless). Konata faces Grounder in the game in a turn based battle. She wins and this saddens the two henchmen of Dr. Eggman. They manage to revive themselves but they are defeated yet again.
Grounder and Plankton head off to the Collaboration Town to find a book on game cheats to help them rule the game. They visit a game store only to find that the last game cheats book was bought by someone else a few seconds ago. They find the person who happens to be Peter Griffin, who is complaining about the quality of the book. Grounder asks for the book and Peter gives it to them, saying that "It's fine." The two henchmen open the book to the page on the RPG they are playing but the page falls out and goes into a nearby gutter.
Meanwhile, Konata defeats several other online players, Grumpy Bear and Sonic the Hedgehog to be precise. Both characters walk together in a forest at night talking together about their hatred of losing in the game. Suddenly, they come across Nightmare offering them a CD which contains cheats. They accept the offer and head off home.
The next day, Konata plays the game and is defeated by Grumpy and Sonic. This causes her to turn the game off and go outside and walk through the woods. She finds Grounder and Plankton find her and they realise that she is the one who rekt them online. Before they get into a fight, Nightmare makes another appearance to offer them all cheat CDs. They also accept the offer and they race home to insert the cheats in. Mario is interested in the cheat CD and keeps a close eye on the computer to make sure it doesn't get negatively affected. He sees nothing wrong with it throughout the day. Meanwhile, Grounder and Plankton are playing the game until it crashes and a knight emerges from the screen. When Grounder kills it via a slash from his laser sword the monster vanishes in a very glitch-like fashion. Plankton suggests that it could have something to do with the cheats CD.
Miyuki and Toad go else where, leaving Mario, Luigi, Wario, Waluigi and Konata alone, Wario, Waluigi and Luigi asleep and Mario only just getting up to eat some cookies. During which, Konata disappears and he finds the game in a battle senario with an option to "eat spaghetti". This causes interest with him, resulting in him selecting said option. There is are sudden flashes of light and Mario finds himself face-to-face with the knight, resembling a larger version of Knight Man from Mega Man 6, with Konata screaming in it's hand. Mario immediately battles the night with the racoon ability, granted with some difficulty. It is destroyed and Konata Izumi is freed. However, a text box appears, explaining that they won't be able to leave unless they are worthy. To find this, both have to fight multiple enemies, including slimes, goombas, omnidroids and Green Devil. Though both barely make it, the Green Devil is blown up by Grounder, who arrived to see if what happened to him and Plankton also happened to Konata. The computer (who reveales itself to be "Battle Windows") teleports them out of the computer and shutting it off, just as Miyuki and Toad walk in from shopping. Mario procceeds to ask, "Have you got spaghetti?"
The episode ends with Miyuki and Konata leaving through a portal back to there homeworld, with Mario stuffing himself with spaghetti.

- This is Nightmare's first appearance in the show.
- This is one of the first instances of the villains helping the heroes.
- Peter Griffin's appearence caused much controversy, due to him being from an adult show, despite SM:DJ being aimed at kids.
