Super Mario: An Evil Rising is a Super Mario game for the Nintendo Wii. It will be one of the last major releases on the Wii. It was made by Nintendo and Prehistoric Games and published by Prehistoric Games.

Story

There are six stories: Mario's story, Luigi's story, Wario's story, Waluigi's story, Donkey Kong's story, and the last story, The Grand Finale story. All of them intercept with each other except for the Grand Finale story.

Mario's Story

Mario and Luigi were visiting Princess Peach helping with a mystery about who robbed the Toadus Museum of the I Mage Statue, the most powerful statue in the kingdom, with the power to change the appearance and abilities of anything. They were discussing the statue when Donkey Kong broke into the castle and kidnapped the princess. Mario heads into town, leaving Luigi behind. Mario looks all over town, and at the entrance of town, Mario encounters Donkey Kong and demands the princess back, but Donkey Kong doesn't know what he's talking about. Mario realizes whoever kidnapped Peach also stole the I Mage Statue. So Mario decides to try Bowser's Castle to get information. After being informed from Bowser after a battle that the Princess has been taken to Donkey Kong Island. Mario searches for a way to the Island, and found Captain Toadhab, who takes Mario to the Island. Mario encounters Wario, Mario battles him and runs run off. Later, when Mario makes it to the top of the mountain, he finds the Kremlings working on creating a rocket to destroy Toad Town. Mario battles all the Kremlings and begins to battle Tanooki K. Rool, a tanooki form of King K. Rool. King K. Rool runs off, dropping the I Mage Statue. When Mario was about to grab it, the rocket launched, activating the statue's power, and transformed the rocket into a Banzai Bill. Mario hurries back to town and tries to find a way to the missile. Mario finds a Super Leaf and transforms into Tanooki Mario and sets out. Once to the missile, he dismantles it and it falls to Yoshi's Island where Yoshi helps Mario find a ship. Boshi comes and challenges Mario to a hopping contest. Mario finds a Frog Suit and transform into Frog Mario. After Mario wins, Boshi runs off. Mario finds a boat and heads home. When Mario gets home, Mario realizes he still needs to find the princess. Mario got his mail and found a letter saying the Princess is somewhere in the castle. Mario goes to a bookcase in the castle discovers a hidden stairway. Once inside, he discovers Peach suspended in a crystallized form. Mario grabs the princess and tries to leave, but then the door closes, where Mario must fight Fawful Spirit, a ghost of Fawful. After leaving, Mario takes her to Dr. Toadley.

Luigi's Story

After the Princess was kidnapped, Luigi was going to follow Mario, but decided to chase a Boo. After stumbling upon a hidden elevator, where he discovers a machine. He goes inside the machine and travels back in time. Luigi lands in the time where the Mushroom Kingdom is discovered. Luigi goes and meets Toadus, founder of the Mushroom Kingdom. Toadus' kingdom` is being plagued by the Mushroom Mages, ancient wizards who try to protect the land. Luigi sets out then to underneath Ancient Toad Town and finds the I Mage. After Luigi defeats him, he transform into the I Mage Statue. Luigi then heads for Dinosaur Land, a prehistoric Yoshi's Island. Heading up to the island's volcano, Luigi encounters the Page Mage. After his defeat, he transforms into the Page Mage Spellbook. Luigi then heads off to Primate Land, an ancient Donkey Kong Island. After Luigi get there, he meets the first Donkey Kong, Mule Pong. MP wants Luigi to help him defeat the Kong Mage, who has been capturing his ape brothers and planning to sacrifice him to Tiki Gods at the volcano. After they fight the Kong Mage and free the Apes, the Kong Mage transforms into the Kong Mage Bongo. Luigi then runs off to the Boo Battleground, where Boos been fighting nonstop against the War Mage, who has killed off the last people who lived there. After agreeing to help Emperor Boo with this problem Luigi went to the Booriual Grounds and fought the War Mage. After the battle, the War Mage transformed into the War Mage Swords. When Luigi returned to the Toadus Castle with the remains of the mages, Toadus gave Luigi a Dragon Shell and Luigi left for the future.

Wario's Story[]

The Wario Bros. bought a treasure map that would give them the ultimate treasure. They built the S.S. Moneybags and setted out for Donkey Kong Island. On the way there, a giant wave splits the boat in half, separating the brothers. Wario arrives on the island, trying to follow the map. Then Wario encounters Mario. Wario beats Mario and then runs off. As Wario is exploring the island, a Banzai Bill launches from the volcano and Wario goes and checks it out. Once inside, he discovers the I Mage Statue, forgotten on the ground. Wario grabs it and then uses a raft to get to Toad Town. Once there, Wario heads underground to look for the next artifact. Once underground, he encounters a Monster Blooper living in the sewers and fights him. Once defeated Wario found the Kong Mage Bongo and went back up, once outside, Wario heads to Boo Castle to get the third artifact. King Boo would only give Wario the War Mage Swords if Wario won a sumo match against him on the Boo Network. After winning, Wario got the Swords and went home. When he got home, he found a lost piece of the map in his mailbox. One more artifact was hidden in Mt. Bluefrost. Wario went to Bluefrost and fought King Spike. After his defeat Wario received the Page Mage Spellbook. On the way home Wario was encountered by Donkey Kong and had the Kong Mage Bongo stolen from him. Wario exhausted from all the running around he just went home.

Waluigi's Story

After seperated from his brother, Waluigi drifted to Yoshi's Island, where he was treated as a hero, due to them thinking he's Luigi. The Yoshi King gave Waluigi the assignment of dealing with Boshi and his group, The Yoshi Baddies. After Waluigi dealed with Boshi, The Yoshi King gave Waluigi access to the volcano and gave him a mission to stop some Kremling activity. When he got there, they were planning an excavation of a large burial underneath the caves. Waluigi proceeded to stomp the Kremlings and take out Kaptain K. Rool. Waluigi returned to see Mario and Yoshi working on a boat and decides to sneak on board when Boshi is challenging Mario. Later when back in town, Waluigi decides to head home. On the way home, he encounters an angry Donkey Kong and battled him. Waluigi was defeated and Donkey Kong continued his rampage.

Donkey Kong's Story

Donkey Kong, woke up mad because his prized Kong Mage Bongos were stolen. He found large Blooperprints and decided to follow these prints to get back his Kong Mage Bongos. He ran across the ocean creating a large wave. Donkey Kong ran to the entrance and was randomly encountered by Mario demanding the princess back. Donkey Kong just passes along. Donkey Kong later heads underground and discovers a hidden room with a time machine. DK then travels back in time to an era shortly after the discovery of the Mushroom Kingdom. DK saw a chaotic world with no end. DK then saw Toadus knocked out. Toadus woke up and told DK that inside the Mushroom Mages' remains are pure evil. The items woke up a beast called the Mushroom Behemoth and has plagued the kingdom more than the Mushroom Mages ever did. DK got the Behemoth Wand and went to capture the Mushroom Behemoth. After capturing the beast, Donkey Kong buried the wand in the Yoshi's Island volcano. Donkey Kong returned to the future and began to hunt down his bongos. He found them with Wario and passed Waluigi to return home.

The Grand Finale Story

The Kremlings found the Behemoth Wand and summoned the Mushroom Behemoth. The Monster crushed them and began to cross the ocean torwards the Mushroom Kingdom. Meanwhile, Mario gathers everyone so they can get the cure for Princess Peach. They need to destroy the Behemoth to solve all the problems happening. So they gathered the artifacts and revived the Mushroom Mages. They agreed to help them if their duty to protect the land is done. Once everything is ready, Mario, Luigi, Wario, Waluigi, and Donkey Kong went to defeat the Behemoth. After the monster's defeat, the Mages left for the heavens. With the Behemoth gone, Peach was revived, and everyone was happy the kingdom won't suffer. Who was the fake Donkey Kong? It was Toadus who started it all so the Behemoth wouldn't continue.

Gameplay[]

Mario[]

Mario gets to chose a power-up that might help him on the level and when it comes to bosses, Mario gets three power-ups that will be helpful to him in the battle. Minigames at the end of each level gives Mario the chance to unlock new powers and increase those he already has.

Luigi[]

Similar elements and characteristics to Luigi's Mansion, Luigi has to fight scary prehistoric creatures in order to get to the mages. Luigi uses the Behemoth Wand to transform the mages after their defeat. Luigi has to solve puzzles similar to ones from the Legend of Zelda in order to get through areas.

Wario[]

Wario hunts down treasures with his weird device he calls the Loot-a-tron 2000 to find treasures that will help him and get him loot. When it comes to battle it becomes similar to Super Smash Bros. in order to knockout the bosses and collect the gold.

Waluigi[]

Waluigi goes classic as he jumps on fiendish fools and get to the end of the level. When Waluigi fights bosses he uses moves similar to karate to defeat the bosses. An unique idea Waluigi gets is the ability to take overworld style and get useful hints for Waluigi and the other heroes.

Donkey Kong[]

Donkey Kong goes DK Country as he dodges and bounces his way to the end of the level and when it comes to bosses, Donkey Kong wrestles his way out of danger in a battle to the finish. Donkey Kong is able to buy stuff for him and the others from Cranky Kong's shops.

Mushroom Mages[]

In the final battle, they fly around with one of the heroes on thier back, dodging lasers and if they can overload the Behemoth's soul, he will crumble.
