Super Luigi World DX is the fourth game in the Super Luigi World series. It is similiar to Super Luigi World: TBA, it includes better graphics, a new world and more characters and minigames. It also has online support, something previous games lacked.

When King Boo kidnaps Princess Daisy, Luigi and Toad try to make sure that he can't get the Omega Crystals and become the ultimate being.

PlotEdit

It was the perfect day. Sunshine and evil plans. Luigi and Toad were walking around E. Gadds lab when they saw a special machine: the Memory Remaker. Toad tried to read the label, but it was too smudged to read. Suddenly, Waluigi, who was hypnotized by Bowser, bursted in and started the machine. Before they could to anything, it shot a beam at the three heros, who were knocked out.

Luigi awakes to Daisy shouting at him. "Come on!" she says "Why did you just fall in the grass?". Luigi then realized that this was just like the day of first big adventure. Luigi then tried to run to the spot where the dark hand had came from, but it appeared near Daisy and took her. Luigi then decides to go upstairs, but the castle is hardly recognizable: it has been reorginized and the furnature is better quality.

When Luigi find Toad, they both talk about what happened to them: apparently, Toad had woken up in the freezer, but unable to move, since he was frozen.

They think something is missing, and remember Waluigi. The heros head down to the foyer where they spot their Purple-clad pal, who goes into battle with. After being defeated, he becomes un-hypnotized and tells what happened: Bowser learned of the machine, and Kamek to hypnotize him. Bowser's plan was to travel with him, and give assistance to King Boo.

They then realize that they must refind the Omega Crystals, and set off to do so. Along the way, they find that the other areas have also been reorginized, and find a new world, Hot-Cold Kingdom. After that, they try to sneak inside Boo's Mansion, but E. Gadd catches them. After a battle, they learn that he was hypnotized, and that a machine which E. Gadd has forgotten about was stolen. Before they can notice, King Boo uses a freeze ray on all of them, and steals the Omega Crystals. Luckily, Luigi had some Anti-Freeze (C) rocks, and they thaw. Afterwards, he hands them all back out.

After busting into Boo's Mansion, a different battle happens: Bowser swallows King Boo, and gains suppernatural powers, and the crew have to use their special powers to defeat him. Afterwards, they warp back to the future, and everyone is back to normal.

GameplayEdit

The gameplay is a same as SLW:TBA, although some new features have been added. For example, Health, Mana and Mega bars have been added. Health is increased with power-ups or hearts, Mana is increased with potions and is used special attacks, and the Mega bar is increased with when attacks are used and, when filled, can be used for the characters Megattack. The maximum of the health and mana bars can be increased with Red and Blue Containers, respectivly. You can also increase Mega points gained with a Mega Boost. You can now also teleport to all save points you have accessed unless you are in a certain area.

CharactersEdit

Playable
Luigi	The main hero. He can jump higher then Toad, and is faster, but Toad has better braking and is stronger.
Toad	He and Luigi go to save Daisy and stop King Boo. Although Luigi is faster and can jump higher, Toad can brake faster and is stronger.
NPC
Daisy	A million years ago, her family was given a special power: the only ones that can use the Omega Crystals and become the ultimate being. She is kidnapped by King Boo and Luigi must save her.
Mario	He appears throughout the game, hosting optional quests that give coins and power-ups. He also hosts 2 minigames.
Toadbert	He runs the Toadbert Shop, where you can buy power-ups and keys to minigames.
Shy Buy	A shop keeper that likes to keep secret. He only reveals himself to people who have proven themself worthy by getting 90% or more completion. His trading card says he is an orphan from Shy Guys' Toybox.
King Boo	The main bad guy. He, with help from Bowser, made the plan to gain the ultimate power (again).
Bowser	The second bad guy. He helps King Boo by re-planning it. In the final battle he swallows King Boo to gain supernatural powers,
E. Gadd	A genious scientist who creates many gadgets. Although he is a boss, E. Gadd is not evil, and was only hypnotized.

Most items return from Super Luigi World:TBA, but the power-up stystem is different- you are only small when you have one section of your health left, and each power-up increases the health meter, but it is otherwise the same.

Royal Castle	This is the first world of the game. It is in the castle, were you must complete quests for various quests for different Toads. The goal is to bring Toad to
Birabuto	The second world. It is based around ancient Egypt. Most of the pyramids can be entered, and they usally contain some type of item needed for a quest. After talking to enough people, you will find keys that allow you to enter a large pyramid and battle Mummipokey.
Muda	This underground world consists of many twists, turns and forks. Except for the entrance, it is completly located inside a cave with alot of crystals which might contain items. The boss Super Blooper is located way deep underwater, deep enough thatt he Marine Pop is required.
Mirrorfed	After exiting Muda, the heros fall into Mirrorfed, the land of mirrors. This place is very different then Sarasaland. You can go through mirrors, and doing so changes the world.
Chai	Based on old China, this place is home to many undead creatures that come back after death. Luigi and Toad can only battle Dragabones once they find the Mystical Golden Relic and use it to awaken him.
Easton Isles	The final world. It is very much like Easter Island. It is made up of small island around a large main island where the final boss is, but first you must collect the 4 teardrops to grow Petey Piranha.

Goombo		When stepped on, they will be flipped over. You can step on them again to defeat them or pick them up and throw them with B.
Bombshell Koopa		These baddies walk along platforms, making sure not to fall off. When jumped upon, they will retreat into their shells and start a countdown until it explodes, destroying nearby enemys (and hurting yourself)
Piranha Plant		Piranha Plants live in both pipes and the ground, and the only was to defeat them is by hitting them with some type of projectile or running into them with a starman.
Buzzy Beetle		These baddies patroll areas, looking for heros. If they spot them, they retreat to their shells and roll toward them.
Bullet Biff		Like Bullet Bills, they are shot out of Bullet Biff Shooters and fly strait at you. (the BBS's head can move)
Gao		This baddie walks about, shooting fire.
Bun Bun		These bees are very busy- they need to shoot fireballs at fungi and plumbers! have to keep you out! Avoid their spears and arrows or you will hear buzzing forever!
Yurarin		These fishy fiends prefer to stay in the waters of Muda and shoot fireballs at you.
Torion		Like cheep-cheeps, these go around water, waiting for you. When they catch sight of you, they will leap out of the water, looking for fish food.
Gunion		Beware for these, since they can stay above water or below it, waiting to cover you with ink!
Mekabon		Mekabon are malfunctioning robots made by E. Gadd, who enjoy throwing their heads at heros!
Tokotoko		Found on the Easton Islands, they launch rocks at you, and are highly resistant to attacks.
Batadon		The paratroopas of SLW. These can jump around, swoop down on you or fly in the air like playforms! Watch out, though, because they are invinsible.
Kumo		Hanging from webs, Kumo drop down on you, waiting to get a bite. These are vemomous, so you will take damage long after the attack!
Hammer Bro.		Although they are tough to beat, you have to if you want the legendery Hammer Suit.
Lakitu		Floating in their clouds, these koopas can make a rain of bombs that really rain on your parade!
Bob-Omb		A simple glimpse of you makes these guys to run around and explode, causing destruction to enemys... and you!
Boo		These guys are real backstabbers! Even worse, they are invinsible! They stop floating toward you, however, when you look at them.
Glitter		Floating in the skys of Chai, these baddies are completly undefeatable.
Nyololin		Like Gao, these enemys can shoot fire from their mouth and move, but they can also jump!
Pionpi		Jumping up and down, these undead creatures can come back even after they are stepped on! Only the mighty Hammer Suit can stop them forever.

TriviaEdit

• Although this game was planned to be released in November 2013, they moved it up to January 2014 because they had a problem with one online feature.
• This is the first platformer with Luigi where Mario is a NPC.
