Lapis is an emotionally unstable, rejected homeworld Gem who was trapped in a mirror for thousands of years. She befriended Steven after he freed her from the prison. After escaping Japser and Peridot's space prison, she fused with Jasper and chained the product to the bottom of the ocean so that Earth and mainly Steven would be safe. She has powerful Hydrokinesis.
