Star Fox: Strike Force is a third-person/scrolling shooter video game developed by Stardust Citadel and published by Nintendo. It is a sequel to the 2016's Star Fox Zero and the second game of the rebooted timeline. The game takes a more unique approach towards Star Fox, basing it's gameplay of the GameCube installments Star Fox Adventures and Star Fox Assault, mixing on foot missions and Airwing sections with a grander focus on world building. Game director Locky Lorean mentioned Star Trek as the inspiration for the new focus of the series.
In the first time in the series, players can take control of any members of the Star Fox team, as well taking control of a secondary team of Cornerian pilots, named the Cornerian Strike Force. During a patrol through out the system, one of the Cornerian ships is struck down in the planet and the Star Fox team is sent to investigate the whereabouts of the people in the ship. In Corneria, commander Bill Grey is training a new team of Airwing pilots.
