Donkey Kong 3
This is Stanley's appearance in Super Smash Bros. Havoc. For the character in other contexts, see Stanley the Bugman.
Stanley is a playable character and newcomer in Super Smash Bros. Havoc, and must be unlocked before becoming available. A bug exterminator from Donkey Kong 3, Stanley is one of Donkey Kong's oldest enemies. His moveset is inspired from the multiple Donkey Kong games, such as the barrels and Fires, and he even uses Donkey Kong Jr. as a recovery attack.
How to Unlock
Clear Classic mode on difficulty 7.5 or higher with Donkey Kong without using any continues, a reference to the third level in Donkey Kong, 75m.
Repellent: Stanley rapidly sprays his insect repellent. Works similarly to Mr. Game & Watch's neutral attack, only it is stronger, slower, and can be aimed up, down, and diagonally.
Oil Drum: Stanley pulls out an oil drum and slams it on the ground, causing damage to players who get hit. A Fire will then jump out and travel in a straight line for a few seconds before disappearing, dealing damage to anyone it comes in contact with.
Donkey Kong Jr.: Stanley throws an 8-bit Donkey Kong Jr. into the air, who creates two small vines and quickly climbs them, extending them the farther he goes, while Stanley follows from beneath. Donkey Kong Jr. will cause damage to anyone he touches, but eventually, he and the vines will disappear.
Barrel: Stanley pulls out a barrel and rolls it on the ground. After a few seconds, it will explode.
Donkey Kong 3: An 8-bit Donkey Kong appears at the top of the stage, holding on to two ropes with a beehive on either side. Donkey Kong will shake the beehives and cause hordes of insects to fly around the stage that ram into players. The final smash will end either after 20 seconds, or if the players manage to deal enough damage to Donkey Kong and push him to the top of the ropes. This move is reminiscent of Stanley's origin game of which the move is named after, Donkey Kong 3.
