Spookhaunt is a 2D Platforming game by Argon. It was released October 3rd, 2015 for the Wii U.
Spookhaunt follows the story of a spirit named Jackpot. One day, a man named Grimmach comes to turn the haunted house that Jackpot lives in into a Tourist Trap. Jackpot must venture through the manor, scaring out tourists, in an effort to get Grimmach to leave. However, Jackpot isn't the only restless spirit in the manor...
Jackpot: A happy go lucky spirit who lives in the Haunted Manor. He'll stop at nothing to save his home from commercialization.
Grimmach: A scam artist who decided to turn an old manor into a "Haunted House" attraction. Little did he know, the house was actually haunted. In his head though, it's good for business. So show him what's what!
While enemies aren't necesarily being sent by Grimmach to get you, the various Stagehands, bouncers, and contractors throughout the manor will try to chase you out thinking you're some little kid who has wandered into the not yet open attraction. You'll have to scare them out with your one and only attack: The screech, which should be enough to send most of them running.
The game doesn't so much have levels as one large mansion to explore. The objective being to get to the top. There are several things that will interfere in simply going straight up, but with puzzle solving and perseverance, you'll get there in no time.
