Weapons are tools used in Splatoon: Fresh Paint to spread ink and splatter enemy inklings/octolings. These weapons can be purchased from Ammo Knights, or earned by doing Amiibo Challenges. All weapons have brand variations, which change the sub and specialist weapon. Weapons from the previous game are returning in this one, as well as new weapons.

New

Name Sub Weapon Specialist Stats Description
Sashimi Splattershot Splash Wall Kraken Range: 50/100
Damage: 45/100
Fire Rate: 55/100
The Sashimi Splattershot is a new addition to the splattershot series. It has the same stats as the normal splattershot, but comes set with the Splash Wall sub weapon for all of those head-to-head encounters, giving you an advantage.

Also, don’t forget about the powerful Kraken, which’ll help you in a pinch! With a weapon in the Splattershot series getting both the Splash Wall and Kraken for the first time, this’ll surely make turf wars more interesting!

Twin Purifiers Burst Bomb Echolocator Range: 40/100
Damage: 30/100
Fire Rate: 80/100
The Twin Purifiers are the first dual wielded weapon created for Turf Wars. It shoots extremely fast, so your opponents will never know what hit them! But be sure to watch out for your tank, because this weapon can eat up ink for days. It's probably best to run Ink Saver Main if your shot isn't the best.

With that impressive fire rate, charging up the echolocator will be a breeze. Using Burst Bombs can also be helpful when having to cover some ground, and don't use up as much ink as the other sub weapons.

Zen Twin Purifiers Disruptor Inkzooka Range: 40/100
Damage: 30/100
Fire Rate: 80/100
A variant of the Twin Purifiers created in assossiation with Inkline. It has the same stats as the original Twin Purifiers, but has the disruptor sub weapon and inkzooka. This allows both close up and ranged offense.

Blasters

Due to the addition of the Blunderblast series, blasters are now considered to be their own weapon category.

New

Name Sub Weapon Specialist Stats Description
Blunderblaster Splat Bomb Bubbler Range: 20/100
Impact: 90/100
Fire Rate: 10/100
The Blunderblaster is part of an all new type of weapon series in the blaster family. They can only be wielded by the best offensive players because of its extreme power. With it's low range and extremely slow fire rate, hitting a target with this weapon can be somewhat difficult. It also uses up a lot of ink for every burst, so every shot must count. Luckily, this weapon has a large blast radius, and one-shots an enemy in good range.

If your enemy is too far away from you, try scaring them off with a Splat Bomb and find another way to get to them. Then, once your Bubbler is ready, don't be afraid to take the opportunity to get up close and personal with the opponent.

Charger

New

Name Sub Weapon Specialist Stats Description
Dango Splat Charger Riptide Bubbler Range: 87/100
Charge Rate: 50/100
Mobility: 40/100
Dango Splatterscope Riptide Bubbler Range: 90/100
Charge Rate: 50/100
Mobility: 35/100
Slinkshot Disruptor Bubbler Range: 70/100
Charge Rate: 100/100
Mobility: 90/100
Damage: 40/100
The slinkshot brings an entirely new style of gameplay for all you charger users. This weapon has an incredibly fast fire rate, allowing you to fire off shots almost like a normal shooting weapon. It is also very light, making it easy to get around. However, the ink pellets this weapon fires off are very weak for a sniper, so you will have to be very accurate with your shots. Luckily, unlike most charger weapons, the slinkshot does not use up a lot of ink.

If your opponent is moving too much for you, be sure to use a disruptor to slow them down. Then, get a bit of ink coverage with the inkstrike and help out your teammates.

Sub

  • Burst Bomb - The Burst Bomb is a water balloon-esque bomb that explodes on impact. Because it contains less ink than a Splat Bomb, multiple can be thrown quickly and two must be used in order to splat an opponent.
  • Disruptor - The Disruptor slows enemies down and lowers their abilities.
  • Ink Mine.png Ink Mine - The Ink Mine can be hidden in ink, and will explode after a short amount of time or when an enemy touches it.
  • Point Sensor.png Point Sensor - The Point Sensor reveals the locations of enemies and marks them for all teammates to see for easy tracking.
  • Seeker - The Seeker is a mechanical device that follows enemies and leaves a trail of ink behind. Upon reaching its target or after a certain amount of time, it explodes into a large burst of ink.
  • Splash Wall - The Splash Wall forms a barrier made of falling ink that prevents enemy movement and fire.
  • Splat Bomb - The Splat Bomb is the standard Sub Weapon. It is a pyramidal container filled with ink that explodes after a short period of time.
  • Sprinkler - The Sprinkler can be thrown onto a variety of surfaces and sprays out spurts of ink in a circular motion for a short amount of time.
  • Squid Beakon - The Squid Beakon is a device that allows teammates to Super Jump directly to its location.
  • Suction Bomb - The Suction Bomb sticks to walls and other surfaces, exploding shortly after.
  • Riptide – The Riptide is a sub weapon exclusive to the Dango Splat Charger and Dango Splatterscope. It is a short range, low damage weapon with a fast fire rate. It is used as an emergency weapon if you are sniping and an enemy is close by. It drains ink just like a regular weapon, and can be switched back and forth at any time. It is not recommended to play offensive with this sub weapon, though it is much better than doing close ranged sniper shots.

Special

  • Bomb Rush - The Bomb Rush allows the player to use their Sub Weapon with no Ink restriction for a short time.
  • Vaporizer – The Vaporizer plays a similar role to the Bomb Rush, allowing you to shoot ink infinitely until the special gauge runs out. The power of your weapon is also slightly boosted.
  • Bubbler - The Bubbler is a spherical force field that rebounds enemy attacks and can be spread to teammates. It is available for a short amount of time.
  • Echolocator - The Echolocator reveals the locations of all enemies for teammates to see on the field and on the Wii U GamePad map. It is available normally for twelve seconds.
  • Inkstrike - The Inkstrike can be placed using Wii U GamePad and causes a large, swirling vortex of ink to appear.
  • Inkzooka - The Inkzooka shoots tall, narrow twisters of ink in rapid succession, allowing for quick placement of linear paths and splatting of enemies.
  • Killer Wail - The Killer Wail blasts a large sound wave in a certain direction that obliterates all enemies in its path and travels through walls.
  • Kraken - The Kraken allows Inklings to temporarily transform into large, invincible, kraken-like creatures with enhanced mobility and power.
  • Blackout - Prevents the enemy from seeing anything on their map
