Spike is a Mario enemy who can spit out spike balls to throw at Mario it first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 3 but has recently made a come back in games like New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Spike also has two subspecies called Snow Spike and Stone Spike who also appeared in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. They also have a third subspecies called Shell Spikes which first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 3D.

Super Mario Bros. 2010Edit

Spikes appear as enemies to Mario in Super Mario Bros. 2010. They throw spike balls like they usually do in the Mario series.

Koopa Kart SeriesEdit

Super Koopa KartEdit

Spike appears in Super Koopa Kart as a heavy weight driver.

Super Mario 3D WorldEdit

Spikes make appearance in Super Mario 3D World. This is their first 3D appearance in the 3D Mario series and they are common enemies in deserts and caves. Spikes appear in Dusty Desert Dunes, Crazy Maze Cave, Thwomp Desert and Grass Temple. They around the area in a set path, either they walk in circles or back and forth. Some may stand around instead of walking. When they spot Mario or Luigi they will stop and throw a Spiked Ball at them.
