Smashed is a fanmade creation based on the Super Smash Brothers series of games.
The point of this game, according to its developers, is to give game characters that otherwise wouldn't have a chance of appearing in a mainstream Smash title a moment in the spotlight, namely characters from indie games and fan games like Smashed.
The game's first public build was released on October seventh, 2016. The team intends to add many more characters, more stages to battle on, and various other things as time goes on and more updates are made.
Many customization options exist, including a toggle between percentage-based health and bar-based health.
With percentage enabled, you defeat the opposing fighters by attacking them and raising their number. A high number increases the chance of that character being knocked out of the stage boundaries and losing a life.
With bar enabled, the goal is to attack you opponents until their health reaches zero. Similar to percentage, knocking them outside the stage boundary knocks them down a life. The lower your health, the farther you'll be launched.
Additionally, you can choose between stock and time modes. Stock giving you a set number of lives and time giving you a set amount of time to battle in. The person who didn't lose all their lives is the winner with stock enabled, and whoever scored the most kills with time enabled wins there.
When in Turbo Mode, players can cancel their successful attacks on hit and on shield into any action, with the exception of the same attack. In addition, all air attacks will auto-cancel when landing if they hit successfully.
Turbo mode opens the door for a lot of interesting combos for experienced players to enjoy.
