Skyworld Warriors is a new Kid Icarus Spin-Off title made for the Wii U by Moonlight Studios set to be released around mid-2015. The game is a combination of both the Dynasty Warriors and the Kid Icarus series, and is said to be a spiritual successor to Hyrule Warriors as they share many similarities such as they both combine the Dynasty Warriors series with a main Nintendo franchise.

The game functions quite similarly to Kid Icarus: Uprising with the fact that the game is split between both a flying section and a land based section. In the flying section, only characters that can fly or levitate are able to be used, however, all characters available within a chapter can be used within the land battle formation.

Just as Dynasty Warriors has lots of enemies and an open world, Skyworld Warriors will have the same on the land battle. In the air battle however, it will play quite similarly to how it did it Kid Icarus: Uprising but with a little twist. The area is much wider than before, allowing for more movement, but a consequence of this is that there a even more enemies that must be defeated. During this section, there may be a few sections where the player can walk along certain platforms.

Hades has invaded Angel Land again. Join forces with Skyworld, the Humans, the Forces of Nature and many others to stop them in their tracks.

The plot is fairly similar to that of Kid Icarus: Uprising, following the locations of 25 chapters, however there have been many additions and alterations, such as some of the bosses and characters, seeing as the Forces of Nature are now on Skyworld's side instead of against them.

Most of the weapons that appeared in Kid Icarus: Uprising now appear as usable weapons in this game, however, each weapon can only be equipped to one character. There are also a variety of new weapons that are available for use as well.

Key Items

Within the game there are certain items that are needed to be found or destroyed to complete certain objectives. These are listed below.

  • Mirror of Truth
  • Underworld Key
  • Three Sacred Treasures
  • Wish Seed
  • Ring of Chaos
  • Lightning Chariot

Collectible Items

Some of the items found within Kid Icarus: Uprising such as the Lightning of Judgement and Poison Cloud can now be found within each of the areas and used as they would have within the game. There are also many new items that can be found too.

The enemies are a key part of the Dynasty Warriors series, since they appear in huge hordes. Even though the Forces of Nature and other characters are on the protagonists side, the enemies still appear on the antagonists side.
