Skylanders: Motion Masters is the fourth installment in the Skylanders series, and the first one developed by Fantasize Studios. It has a variety of new Skylander figures to collect, and features new Motion Masters with movable pieces that can use special powers.

Story

After defeating Kaos once more, the Skylanders return to Earth. However, upon landing, they find a new energy never seen by any Skylander before, which turns some of them into Motion Master Skylanders! However, Kaos has returned with a new plan to harness this energy and unleash an evil onto both Earth and Skylands!

Gameplay

Controls (Wii U controls)

  • Left Stick: Move around
  • Right Stick: Move camera
  • X: Jump (when not near object)/Interact (when near object)
  • B: Primary attack
  • Y/RT: Secondary attack
  • A/LT: Third attack

Overview

Skylanders: Motion Masters improves on the Skylanders game before it, with new features. Jumping has returned from Swap Force, and small polish has been put onto the game overall for a more fun experience. There are a total of 20 levels, and Flynn's Ship returns as the hub world.

All Skylanders from the past 3 games are compatible with Motion Masters, with all stats and upgrades. There are 48 new figures split into 4 categories. You can find the new characters and figures here.

Trivia

  • This game was developed alongside Swap Force as a 4th installment, with both teams working together to connect both games.
