Roy is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Calamity. Roy is the main character of Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade, who wields the Binding Blade (or Sword of Seal) and is the son of Marquess Eliwood of Lycia's House Pherae.
Changes[]
New forward tilt, a stab forward, similar to how raiper-based Lords attack in Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. It has less ending lag than his previous forward tilt and is stronger in terms of damage.
New up tilt animation.
New down smash, a spinning flame sword sweep, which deals more damage and knockback.
Original neutral aerial returns and deals more damage, having a flame damage effect added.
New back aerial, a slash behind him similar to Ike's back aerial. It deals more damage and knockback.
New down aerial, a slash downwards similar to Robin, which can spike opponents when hit clean.
It has more start-up and ending lag.
Uncharged Flare Blade deals more damage.
- Fully charged Flare Blade does recoil damage to Roy and has higher ending lag.
Double-Edge Dance...
- ...has less options than before.
- ...is stronger and has K.O potential.
New up special animation, which is based on Zero's Ryuuenjin (Dragon Flame Blade) animation from the Mega Man Zero games and Capcom Vs. games.
