Rouge the Bat (or Rouge) is an adversary of Sonic the Hedgehog (in most cases) and a friend of Shadow the Hedgehog. She occasionally allies herself with Sonic or Dr. Eggman, and is hinted to have a crush on Knuckles the Echidna. She is also an expert when it comes to treasure hunting. She once tried to steal the Master Emerald, but Knuckles defeated her. Her début was in Sonic Adventure 2. Her latest appearance is in Sonic Dash. With Knuckles having his fists as his powerful attack, Rouge's powerful attacks come from her legs. She can also glide in the air. She also loves to shop for jewels, as well as steal some.

Appearances []

Pikachu's Final Destiny[]

In Pikachu's Final Destiny, She can be seen along with Shadow and Omega, skating in Penguin Kingdom.

Pikachu's Final Destiny 2[]

She is set to appear in Pikachu's Final Destiny's sequel, Pikachu's Final Destiny 2. This time she will have a bigger role, giving Pikachu and Company tips on their Adventures. She will also tell you that one of the victims is kidnapped by the villains, as she will ask "But have you seen a blue Pokémon being kidnapped?" if Mudkip is kidnapped.

Sonic Heroes 2[]

Rouge makes an appearance in Sonic Heroes 2 as a member of Team Dark. In this game, she is obnoxiously infatuated with Fang the Sniper.

Sonic the 3D Hedgehog: One World for All[]

Rouge the Bat appears in the sequel to Sonic the 3D Hedgehog as a resident of another world and the main antagonist. At first, she is dressed as a hooded figure who challenges Sonic and his friends to find the Chaos Rings before they succumb to a timed virus. After many battles and reaching her homeworld, Rouge reveals who she is, a criminal mistress who wants to poison Mobius for riches, and orders a possessed Tiara Boobowski to destroy Sonic's group with a giant Rouge-like mech. She tries to protect the mech from being shot down by Sonic's hijacked aircraft, but she is taken down once the mech is reduced to a head. Surviving the battle, she nabs the Chaos Rings, which fell out of Sonic's hands after the destruction of the mech's head, and she goes out into hiding. Later on, she threatens Mobius, prompting Sonic, Tails, Amy, Knuckles and the now-purified Tiara to return to her homeworld. Coming back, Sonic and the gang are shot out of the sky and they lose their Crystal Rings. They encounter Rouge at a colosseum and defeat her, only to find out that it's just a robot sent by her to distract them while she pumps the energy of the Chaos Rings and the lost Crystal Rings into her body. After the robot doppelganger is destroyed, the Chaos Rings are found to be kept away in Rouge's night club, which Sonic and company infiltrate. They reach Rouge, but they find that she has absorbed a considerable amount of Ring Power and grown in size and strength, and that she is ready to fire a weapon aimed at Mobius called the Atmostroyer. Regardless, she is defeated and sent plummeting into the core of the weapon. Instead of falling to her doom, however, she becomes a nigh-unstoppable crystal goddess, due to channeling a massive ball of Ring Power and performing the One World for All technique on Overdrive. With their own crystal power, Sonic, Tails, Amy and Knuckles become Crystal Warriors and defeat Rouge once again, destroying the Atmostroyer in the process without hurting anyone or anything and reverting Rouge back to her old self. Rouge is taken in by the authorities of Mobius afterwards, and is only heard of again after leaving jail a month later. It's worth noting that in this game, Rouge is a lot more powerful and evil than she is in all of her other appearances. She is also apparently a mechanical super genius; being able to create excellently crafted and robust robot versions of herself and a weapon that destroys atmospheres in a single shot. A few of her inventions were perfected with help from fellow mechanics Dr. Eggman and Ogarate the Ogre.

Sonic the 3D Hedgehog: Guardians of Future Yet to Come[]

Rouge the Bat reappears in the third entry of the Sonic the 3D Hedgehog series, starting off by going out to find Sonic, Tiara, Mighty the Armadillo and their new, currently unidentified partner as they reach an uncharted city.

Sonic Dreamcatchers[]

In Sonic Dreamcatchers, Rouge appears as a playable character, she follows Knuckles lead, much like how Tails follows Sonic's lead, and she can glide and climb like Knuckles. Although she can't punch through objects, she can do a Drill-Spin while gliding not only giving her a boost in the air, but also destroying any enemies in her way. She is also the one who sleeps with Knuckle's red Dreamstone to open a portal to the dream world for Knuckles to enter.

Mario & Sonic at the Previous Olympic Games[]

Rouge appears as both a rival and a playable character in the game. She is introduced at the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games, where she is a rival in figure skating. At the Athens 2004 Olympics, she is a rival in rhythmic gymnastics. She is playable at the Dream Olympics in both the Nintendo Switch and 3DS versions, where she is an all-around type character.
