Gameplay

The gameplay is exactly the same with the health bar and moves but with a few more speacial moves. The sequel also adds something called "Grand Finale"  which is a finishing move where after a fighter has won 2 rounds gets to perform a finishing move that has no blood or gore in it similar to the final smashes in Super Smash Bros..Developers also once again had trouble with some of the characters getting hit because of their body design.

Trivia

Originally Grand Finales were supposed to be in the original game but with so much data their wasn't anyroom.

DLC was supposed to be added it is unknown why it wasn't.

Poison was originally supposed to be included but was replaced by Roxy it is unkown why this was done.

King Hippo was supposed to be in the game but was replaced with Mappy.

Originally alternate costumes were supposed to be included but they were scrapped in early development.

The created stages were supposed to be replaced with stages from the video games but they were replaced with the origianl stages.

Like the origianl Ice Climbers topis were changed in both versions of the game this is because of the seal clubbing probelm in Europe and America.
