Requiem is an Open World RPG developed by Overdrive Studios and published Nintendo and was released in May 6, 2007 for the Wii and DS. Requiem takes place in the year 435. You are Equinox and you wander through the woods and find Zodmo: The Prince of God who wants to repay the human race who murdered his father as a child. You must explore the land of Asbria to kill Zodmo. Using the Wiis motion controls, the Wii version makes swordfight very unique with the controller. However, the DS version is water down from the Wii version.
A version on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC was released first on June 5, 2010 known as Requiem HD with improved graphics and better controls.
Story[]
Requiem takes place in 435. You are Equinox, and you wander through the woods to find a young man. You dont know his name and fights you with his angels. He reveals that he's Zodmo: The Prince of God. You decide that hes going to put the world in danger. You travel across the the land of Asbria to found out that Zodmo wants to repay the human because the Parai Empire burned down Heaven because Lord Karamick was against the ways of god and was the founder of a new religion called Neco Sadmirnism which bans god. You try to murder Lord Karamick and his son; Prince Norkama. But when you went to the Great City there were dead for over 1000 years meaning that Zodmo is very old. You decide to kill Zodmo before he ends the world.

Asbria is the largest state in Sanboda. Asbria has been destroyed by enemy states like Gasdrie and Harbioda so there not many citys and towns in the state.

Requiem recieved extremely positive reviews. GameRankings gave it a 91% for the Wii version and the DS version got a 78%.

Requiem was a commerical success with the Wii version selling more than 6 Million copies while the DS version sold over 500,000 copies.
Requiem HD[]
In November 2009, Overdrive Studios announced that they're remaking Requiem for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC originally called Requiem Ultra X but was renamed to Requiem HD. But, the game was later announced to be developed by Omega Games. Requiem HD was released first on Xbox 360 on June 5, 2010 and then on PC on June 15, 2010 and finally the PS3 version which released on May 23, 2011 which was developed by both Overdrive Studios and APIM Group, Inc. Requiem HD was even more successful than the original version raving a whopping 96% on GameRankings and sold over 9 Million Copies on all 3 versions.
Sequels[]
After the massive hit of Requiem. Overdrive Studios started work on three new Requiem games; Requiem II, Requiem III, and Requiem Z. Requiem would later spawn two more sequels, two prequels, and four spin-off titles. Requiem II was released in November 9, 2009. Requiem Z releases in October 23, 2010. Requiem III then released in November 14, 2011.
