Plot

King Boo is seen building his new haunted house. He states to the audience that he has been working on it for ten nights. He announces his plans that he is going to kidnap everybody and turn them into Boos.

Meanwhile, Bowser Jr. is getting his airship "spooky" for Halloween. The Koopalings (along with Berinda) are helping him organise it. Iago tries to get an Oareo, by the name of Akorn, to help him put up a poster of a Gloomba, however, Akorn runs away when Iago yells at him.

Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Toad and Donkey Kong, meanwhile, are preparing for a Halloween party. Peach explicitly tells everybody to not let anybody from the Boo family in, however, as they can cause chaos. Donkey Kong, however, points to where King Boo is decorating his new haunted house. The lot seem to get suspicious due to this.

Meanwhile, Toadette and Toadokay are hanging out with Wario and Waluigi. The quad plan to steal all the chocolate from all the houses. They approach Bowser Jr's airship. Toadokay disguises as "Darth Vader", and tells Bowser Jr. that he will kill him if he doesn't give him all of his chocolate, though Berinda says that she knows that Toadokay's voice, ruining their plan.

Mario and Co., meanwhile, with Rievoah and Chain Chomp, are going around, advertising their party. Akorn, however, runs towards Mario, and asks to be on his side. As the two are talking, however, they notice Daisy and Toadai trick or treating, and walking up to King Boo's new haunted house. Diddy Kong and Donkey Kong try to stop them, but they proceed. Wario, Waluigi, Toadette and Toadokay sneak into the party and steal all the chocolate, meanwhile.

As Daisy and Toadai knock on King Boo's door, a Dry Bones welcomes them in. They are nicely treated by the Boos, however. Mario and Co., however, decide to rescue the duo from King Boo. Bowser Jr, however, appears in his airship, and tells them that he knows King Boo is up to something, but it is only safe that he and three others go in, since he has four Hammer Suits. It is then decided that Mario, Rievoah and Akorn will go in, but they are given walkie talkies so they can communicate with Tiarer, Bobbert and Lemon in case they are trapped.

Mario, Rievoah, Akorn and Bowser Jr. go into King Boo's mansion with their hammer powerups. They wander about for a while, until they reach the 2nd floor, where they see King Boo prisoning Daisy and Toadai in cages. The quad commence in a battle with King Boo, but Tiarer tells Mario via her walkie talkie to chase King Boo to the rooftop. The Koopalings, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Toad, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Tiarer, Berinda, Bobbert and Lemon all are seen on the rooftop holding torches. The quad chase King Boo to the rooftop, as he gets shined by the light, retreating.

Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings (minus Larry) leave in their airship. Akorn decides to be on Mario's side. Daisy and Toadai are rescued and they all decide to go back to the party, only to find that Wario, Waluigi, Toadette and Toadokay trashed it whilst the group were gone!
