Princess Zelda is the name of the princess in The Legend of Zelda Series. When Ganondorf kidnapped the royal family, Link came to her rescue, and she was the only one of the royal family found. Zelda and Link have a romantic interest in each other, similar to Mario and Princess Peach. Zelda has two alternate forms, Sheik and Tetra, and Zelda herself is able to protect herself from Ganondorf. She, like Link, has a toon counterpart.

Super Smash Bros. Adventure

Princess Zelda will appear as a playable character in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Adventure. During the events, Mario, who doesn't know he is in Hyrule, mistakes Zelda for Peach, and decides to assist her in defeating Ganondorf. She will use her Psychic abilities as her Special Move and Final Smash, but will lack physical strength. Not much else is known.

Nintendo Princesses

Zelda has been confirmed as a playable character in the upcoming Wii platformer Nintendo Princesses. In a recent trailer she was seen shooting a bow and arrow.

Super Smash SNES

Zelda will appear as a playable character in the WiiWare download Super Smash SNES. Her special moves are to shoot fire, teleport up and cover herself in a shield.

Mario Singalong! Series

Zelda makes her debut in the Mario Singalong! Series in Mario Singalong Legends when Princess Peach is kidnapped by Ganondorf she requests that Link stay with her for protection.
