Pokemon Fighters Aqua and Flora are RPG/Strategy spin-off games similar to the Mystery Dungeon series, you explore an open world and take on missions and progress through the story. it is meant for the 3DS.

Story

One day, ancient artifacts were found, they were known as Rain Diamonds(Aqua)/Leaf Emeralds(Flora), these items held great power which should be contained at the depths of the world. But a beast forgotten by time wants them back for itself. You must keep the powerful gems in their place and stop whoever wants to use them for evil.

Gameplay

Outside of battles, you can move freely. The game has a large open world to explore with many towns and dungeons to explore, enemies and bosses to fight and friends to make.

Controls

D/Circle-pad = Move

A = Interact/Select stuff

B = Hold to run/Attack out of battle (get an Advantage Move)

X = Quick item menu

Y = Use set item (You can set items to your chracter in the menu)

Mechanics

The main battle mechanic is Advantage Moves, if you sneak up to an enemy and press B, you get an Advantage Move. When the fight starts, you'll be close to the opponent and you'll get some damage on him.

Another battle thingy is the fact that if you befriend Pokemon, they can help you in battle, also, the battles are in a Fire Emblem style (strategy game)
